I'm having problems starting up CM4 GOLD Demo. When I click on the shortcut to run the .exe, I get this error. I am thinking it's my computers configuration or resolution but I can't figure it out. Could someone tell me something I could try doing to fix this?

your resolution must be higher than 1024*768 (1152*864 for example)

1024*768 is my computers maximum it can go. Is there some work around for this?

yes you can use the option small_screen allowing you to play in 800*600.
here is a screen shot of what to do (sorry it's in french but you'll understand it I guess) : |

How come the French menu says "OK"? Isn't that an English expression. Thought it would be "D'accord" or something.

Thats odd, CM4 runs perfectly under 1024x768, mo problems at all in full screen or windowed mode.

For the Frenchmen,
I tried adjusting the target link to -small_screen. It didn't work as the same error popped up. |

If possible can you try setting your window size to larger than 1024x768 and start the game using the command line option -windowed.
This should in theory work ok. (other atlernative solutions involve changing the bit depth of the resolution and also updating your graphics driver as its likely not the latest version) Marc |
