I'm just glad both Steve Smith's are on the same team. And I still can't believe someone outbid my $1 start on Kyle Orton.

Yea, for having only two players with over 100 points on the season I guess I can't complain with 6-4 (The Giants Suck).
Actually, four players, but 3 of them are QBs. Last edited by Scoobz0202 : 11-17-2010 at 10:19 PM. |

Nice season everyone. I got a little lucky at the end to take the title but that's how FF goes.

I totally owned the 7th place game
Looking forward to seeing how the keepers shake out. I think I have to keep Brady and eat the $43 and Nicks at $22 is a no brainer for me. Question, I added Blount as a FA, so is the price to keep him $10? |

I was wondering the same thing about BJGE. I think it's $11 as the lowest a player can be valued is $1.

And, just to be fair, it's what the player was drafted regardless of team. So, if someone drafted Dallas Clark for $21 and then dropped him when he got hurt. Another team can't pick him up and stash him on their IR for a $11 keeper. It would still cost the original bid +$10 to keep him.

One final note. I think we should go from 2 RB and 3 WR to 2 RB, 2 WR and 1 RB/WR flex. With 14 teams and a waiver budget, we should really have some flexibility with that final spot.

Nice job Arles.
I also agree about the flex position. Looking forward to next year. First time doing an auction style league and I thought it was a great learning experience. |

Yes. Congrats Arles.
I plan on posting the final results, the final rosters with salaries this weekend. Also, I have a few ideas about tweaking some of the scoring but welcome any and all ideas.

So I have a question for you guys in regards to keepers for 2011. My original thought going into the season was to add $10 to a player's 2010 draft value or to their waiver/FA acquisition value.
For example: - QB Brees was drafted for $45 so in 2011 he would be a $55 keeper. - RB Ivory was acquired for $6 so in 2011 he would be a $16 keeper. What I would like to know is how we want to handle players that fall in these situations: - Player A was drafted for $4 but was released and claimed as a free agent ($1). What should this player's value be in 2011? - Player B was drafted for $2 but was picked up as a $9 waiver claim, released, picked up as a FA ($1). What should this player's value be in 2011? - Player C was not drafted but was acquired for $7, released, then acquired for $3. What should this player's value be in 2011?

I'm not in your league, but I think you should use the value they ended the season with.

I'm not sure I'm playing next year, but in season FA/Waiver claims should absolutely not be able to be keepers.

Using FA dollars is a little apples to oranges. Everyone gets $50 and often big chunks go out for top guys. Brandon Jackson went undrafted but I think was given a $40+ bid in waivers. That would mean it would cost more than non-top 10 picks to keep him (ie, $40+10). IMO, non-drafted players should all cost $1 +10 to protect and any drafted player should go for what they were drafted at. But, it's up to the league.
