NFL Playoffs Thread 2017-2018 Season or Who is going to Minneapolis?!?!?

Come see us the first weekend in February.

Who will it be?

That other thread was way too long.

One thing that I think is interesting is that I believe you can make a legitimate case for any of the NFC teams to win the conference and the Super Bowl.

Is there anyone you're willing to argue for outside of the bye teams in the AFC? Maybe the Jags. Maybe?

I'm not really high on the NFC Wildcard teams or the Eagles with Foles instead of Wentz. If any of them did it I wouldn't be blown away, but it would surprise me.

I think you're spot on with the AFC though.

I would wager a significant amount of internet dollars Blake Bortles is not going to come into Pittsburgh and when for the second time this year. Especially when the weather is likely to be around 30 degrees.

Dola, the Jags picked Ben 5 times, BB had 95 yards passing, and 100% healthy Fournette had 26 carries for 91 yards and 1 fluke 90 yard TD when they completely sold out to stop the run and failed

AFC goes completely chalk and I think the Saints make a Super Bowl run defeating the Vikings in the NFC Championship Game and the Patriots win the Superbowl by about 10

Vikings would be the first team to play a Super Bowl at their actual home stadium if they would get there.

-Still thinking Keenum remembers who he was

Just hard to get too excited with the Vikings because you just set yourself up for a letdown. The culture completely changed when Zimmer took over so hopefully the history of choking changed with it.

Id probably roll with
Patriots over Steelers
Vikings over Saints(part 2)

Super Bowl
Patriots over Vikings, the final game of the Belli/Brady era.

That's funny because the only game in the slate that gave me pause was the last one. And I think that I made the pick I did more out of a "Zimmer seems like a nice guy and Minnesota's never won before, so I hope they win" than because I have a sense that they would beat the Pats.

That's how I'd feel too, and that's pretty much why I figure the Pats would win.

Seems like everyone's picking Rams over Falcons, then Vikings over Rams. Since when everyone picks one way, that way is always wrong, that means either the Rams will lose to the Falcons or beat the Vikings.

I'm rooting for beat the Vikings, of course.

If it gets to that matchup, I hope you're right. Rams are a solid team but that Vikings D is brutal. Rams didn't look good there when they played in MIN a few weeks ago (one of the rare times they didn't look pretty good).

Yeah good job NFL. First game and your all star refs crew misses an obvious fumble.

Dola...

For those not watching, this was not challengable because they said Mariota’s progress was stopped. (Don’t know how to embed video)

Oh sorry was not talking about Mariota that one made sense. Kelce's was a fumble and it cost the Titans a TD. Not that it would have matter as this Titans team is not a playoff team anyways.

This game feels like the Chiefs season, and now they need not to suck again at the end to move on.

Two very average teams. Losing Kelce was huge as he was their only way to consistently move the ball.

Because they didn't want to replay that hit 20 more times in front of a national television audience.

That's why they didn't need to go for 2 the first time, chasing that missed point.

I feel this game has really written a line under the coaching career of Andy Reid. Just some bizarre coaching in the second half. Would anyone really be surprised to hear he took the playcalling back over in the last 10 mins.

I thought that Arrowhead crowd noise was an insurmountable obstacle to visiting teams? Six straight home playoff losses for the Chiefs.

What an epic choke.

And for those keeping score, that was a bizarre sack where it looked like the QB didn't even know the play or the game situation on 3rd and 9, letting the clock run down close to the 2 minute warning, getting somewhat bailed out by the Titans not lining up correctly so needing to take a timeout themselves, and then the best play you can come up with out of that timeout is a 30 yard heave downfield to a backup WR into coverage. When all you needed to win was the 10-15 yards it would take to get into FG range.

Chiefs choke again. And was there any secret who that PBP announcer wanted to win? His voice was cracking like a little school boy when he thought the Chiefs had scored the TD on Henry's fumble.

Props to the Titans especially Mariota stepping up and 80 year old Dick Lebeau. They are going to get destroyed next week whoever they play but still good to see the old Houston Oilers win one.

Well I saw the wacky Mariota TD and thought it was still safe to go watch something else for a while. Came back to the Titans "Victory Formation". Should have known better given the Chiefs history. Congrats to the Titans, who were looking "just happy to be here" in the 1st half.

Falcons need a TD here or they will be hurting. 3 Prime positions for points and only ending up with 9 would hurt badly.

Rams defense just seems too good for the Falcons.

Nice. Center Mack pushes/carries Freeman into the endzone.

Did some rule change sometime? I see more and more attempts/TD being assisted by teammates pushing nowadays

Had high hopes for the Rams this postseason. Their offense was off tonight. Why is Sammy Watkins not a bigger threat?

Dan Quinn deserved to lose that game 27-26 for his ridiculously stupid decision to kick the XP after going up by 12.

Yes, I think so.

It was a hard fought game and IMO a closer game than the score would indicate. It would be great for them to get back to SB and win or have a close lose so they can get the monkey off their back.
