You know what kind of game I'd like to see?
I thought this might be a nice on going thread where people could request games along a certain theme or idea.
I know, for instance, I would love to see another Mafia vs WW vs Villager game. That three way dynamic keeps everyone their toes and is a good one I think. |

My 40k game a year ago had three teams and my last game, the Blade Runner one, would've had three teams if one of two players did their job properly. I agree it adds an interesting dynamic. |

Let's not blame bullet for not doing his job properly. Wasn't his fault he got lynched that game.

Actually it was, he came out with the "licks himself" post right away and that lead to comments about hiding in plain sight and got him sent to mars. On another note I am toying with an idea for running a game which has 3 factions. 1 needs to escape by making their way through different checkpoints, the 2nd wants to capture the 1st, and the 3rd is trying to kill the 2nd. There are opportunities for conversion between any and all factions. Every faction has specialty roles as well as normal humans. Still working out the details. |

I enjoyed being the only one left alive that game, whatever happened to Dubb? I would like a game with more items, I think they bring a unique dynamic to the games while keeping things simple. |

I like games where everyone has an action, although I recognize this makes for a tough game to moderate. Some examples of this, going from memory:
- Peregrine's Creatures game, where all bandits had a one-time kill (hope I'm remembering this correctly) - Both Peregrine's and Alan's item games - Barkeep's Treasure Hunter game I'm sure there are others out there that fit this bill. Ideally, I like for players to have to make interesting decisions. As a secondary request, I like games that leave enough room in the rules for bad guy bluffing. This doesn't happen when the rules list each and every role that will be in a game. I recognize that neither of these suggestions make for a "simple game" that seems to be more popular as of late, but I've played enough games with seer/bodyguard/duke against enough of you by now that I'm always looking for that extra hook in a game to get me fired up at the outset of the game. |

Boy, that Treasure Hunter game was a blast. One of my very favorites.

I ran an everyone has an action game with Ripper game, and it was a bitch to moderate. I give kudos to other GMs who can do this sort of thing. I am actually up next in the game list, and more likely than not, people will have actions they can take. Still, not planning to have any items in it. |

Saldana already ran one awhile back. I had not read the books at the time he put it together, and I'm kind of curious to re-read it now that I'm a little more versed on the HP world.
I'm positive that some of the previous topics (HP, Star Wars, LOTR, etc) could have additional games. I'm stunned that there has not been a Matrix game yet - that is the one theme that I would have absolutely thought would be in the rotation by now. |

I think (and hope) that you guys will like my Clue game, then. It's going to be regular folk, werewolves, plus the murderer. Also, everyone gets a night action -- you pretty much play a turn of Clue each night.

I'm looking forward to pass's game, too.
My favorite game to play was Alan's big city game, although it was really time-consuming, and must have been borderline impossible to run. I also liked his Tombstone game a lot. |

I had a great idea for an item but it didn't really fit with the theme of my Blade Runner game so had to leave it out. I would give the idea to a GM of a future item absed game but then it would mean I'd have to sit out which is no fun. |

The idea of a Matrix game is great. I've already got an interesting outline for a ruleset. Which is rather ridiculous since it will be years before I have time to run a game. But maybe if it's good I'll give it to someone else to run.
I've read some of the old games, but don't know much of the history here. Has anyone run a game where players weren't voted out, but had some other mechanic? And does anyone have examples of some three faction games they could point me at? Those would be interesting ideas to me. |

I believe the Swarm games were three faction, weren't they? There have been other games where there has been a neutral role, for example the Egypt game and the Lost game.

That's right. Matter of fact, I think that might have been my first game. I got lynched rather quickly as I recall.

So I have put together an idea for Ge and my game... Tell me what you guys think....
The game is Saints row and there are four teams, 3rd Street Saints, Los Carnalas, Vice Kings, and Westside Rollers. Everybody will start with some money and they can buy certain items like guns and shields. Certain guns will work against certain shields (not in the game) Each player in each team can talk to one another and there is one body guard per team and one seer per team... There are a couple of things I need to work out, like who can kill who when, and what the winning conditions are, but it looks like i still have 3 months till my game |

There are a couple of things I was worried about like getting an even number... I mean the teams would have to be equal to make it fair... and I still dont have any idea about victory conditions, and it would be wicked time consuming, so we will see

Alan was such an awesome wolf in that game. It was so much fun to watch him work.

Tour de France would be a great theme.
An idea I had not too long ago was WW Party Convention where the players are split into different groups, each of whom vie to get their candidate nominated as a Presidential candidate, and one group of infiltrators from another party who just try to cause chaos. |

What do people think of a game where dead players are still allowed to comment on the game? Obviously this would favor the village somewhat, but that could be balanced out in other ways.

Any ideas how to handle this? I think it might be a good idea, especially for those that die early in the game and then have to wait for the next game to start, but I'm not sure how it would work. |
