Race #11 of 20 - Watkins Glen Results

Well this changes everything for the Chase. After sitting near the back of the standings all season, Dexter Jackson now has picked up his second win in dominating fashion and has all but assured himself a spot in the Chase. Dexter qualified on the pole and led 59 of 90 laps en route to the win.

Trick Dickle leads the way followed by Nick Phillips, Chris Snow, Mustafa Henderson and David Ginsberg. Dexter Jackson and Deacon Palmer currently hold the wildcard spots.

Excellent! Another top five finish for the General Lee and Bo is back in the Chase. Luke is just on the outside at 12th, ready to strike. Let's go Dixieland!

Ace Idol is not spectacular, but he is consistent. Just have have to avoid disaster the last 4 races and we should be in the chase.

Quick question for you CMP...by your scoring system do we get bonus points going into the chase for wins during the "regular season"?

The old man shows his poise and experience moving up to 3rd in the chase. Aemon Snow took a hit as his youth and inexperience showed through on a tough road course.

3rd and 8th in the points with 4 races left before the chase. Snow Motorsports is looking good for now.

Excellent. Barring some sort of major catastrophe, the Silver Bullet is already in the chase. Now it's time to work on some more victories to increase our initial lead. Vegas looks promising...

Race #12 of 20 - Mountain Dew 500 Results

In a race where no one car dominated and 16 drivers led in all, it was Andrew Foley who had the best car when it counted most as he picked up the win and looks to solidify himself into The Chase. Foley has seemingly come out of nowhere these last few races and now looks to be a contender.

Standings after Race #12 - 3 races remaining before the Chase

Trick Dickle is almost guaranteed the #1 spot in the Chase. He'll get 50 bonus points for first and at least 20 more bonus points for his four wins giving him 70 to start with. Phillips Racing teammates Nick Phillips and Mustafa Henderson sit 2nd and 3rd followed by the surging Andrew Foley and the steady David Ginsberg. Ace Idol continues to be consistent and sits in 6th followed by Chris Snow who drops a bit after a poor finish, despite having a strong car at Dakota. Helen Wheels is back in the top ten at 8th. Deacon Palmer jumps from 18th to 9th in one race in the standings and currently doesn't need to use the wildcard. And Travis Elkin jumps into the top ten with a solid finish. Aemon Snow drops out of the top ten and sits 11th, Bo Duke drops from 7th to 12th. Current wildcard spots belong to Dexter Jackson and David Gonzalez.

I knew we would be good at the road course!!! What a turnaround for us. I can't believe the #12 car is now pretty much locked into the Chase. We have been terrible most of the year except for two races. Maybe Dexter can shock the world!

Gah, somewhat consistent but can't challenge when it matters most. Ah well, hopefully can hang on to a qualifying spot and find the next gear when it matters most.

Well story of Mr. Hutt's season so far with a big fall from the qualifying to last place. Looks like he may come in last place overall a great accomplishment I would say

Helen Wheels with a great Sunday, coming from her #33 starting spot to finish 4th and finally log a Top-5 finish. That gives her #6 Discount Tire car a 36-point cushion in Chase qualification.

Rip Lickingood, for his part, qualified much better, in the 8th position, and stayed strong on his way to a 9th-place finish. He's slowly climbed the standings to 25th. If the #07 Vanilla Coke car can get a win and eclipse David Gonzalez in the next 3 races (a tall order, sure), he will find his way into the Chase, as well.

Race #13 of 20 - Solecismic 400 Results

Cannon Pace dominated the early running at Boston before fading during the last half of the race. From there Chris Snow and Nick Phillips took turns leading for much of the race until the final 15 laps when Travis Elkin took over the lead from Nick Phillips and then held off a strong challenge from Phillips to take the win and increase his chances of making the Chase greatly.

Standings after Race #13 - 2 races remaining before the Chase

No one will catch Trick Dickle, the only thing he can do is go for broke these next two races and try to pick up a few extra bonus points for winning. The Phillips Racing teammates have a good hold on 2nd and 3rd while Chris Snow sits 4th. Ace Idol sits in 5th. Travis Elkin moves up to 6th with his win and is followed by Andrew Foley, Bo Duke, David Ginsberg and Deacon Palmer. Dexter Jackson and Benton Gale hold the wildcard spots. The standings are so close in the battle for the 10th spot. There is no room for anyone to slip up.

Tough result for Luke to break that car. Clearly he could have gotten a better result and pushed closer to the top 10. Instead it's looking more like Bo is going to carry the flag for the team, and get a crack at the big money.
