Won't be around much today until really late, so will need you guys to take care of stuff today.

Can do. Looks like maybe we're stuck at hte supply cart until noon. Sucks.

That's 185gp. You divide your remaining gold and you each grab 1 potion.

The Hint:
The Old Man is thrilled that you want to hear what he has to say (and thrilled at the extra gold). He clears his throat and says, "I hear that somewhere in the Crawl there is a chest at the end of a long corridor with an amazing magical item in it."

Room 9:

You enter another hallway. This one has two branching corridors.

A sign hangs from one of them:

Short Cut

You can see into the corridor a bit. It is littered with bones.

The other corridor is labeled:

Long Cut

The floor of this corridor is clean.


Which direction do you travel?

Darth will wear the necklace. I think Danny will wear the shirt.

Well guys I Think we take the long cut, what do you think?

KWhit, if we make our choice is something going to happen now, or is nothing going ot happen until 9 either way?

I'm flexible. I can either do it now or wait.

In that case we're going to go down the long corridor. Danny will put on the puffy shirt and Darth will put on the necklace before we go. Danny will have one healing potion, Darth and I will carry two each (i believe that's the right total).

You take the "Long Cut."

The brightly lit corridor twists and turns for a while. You continue on and on. And just when you start to think about turning around to go the other way, the corridor ends. Dead end. On the wall is a sign which reads:

"I told you it was a long cut."

Shit.

However, there is a chest sitting at the end of the corridor.

It takes Autumn 4 turns to open it, but finally he succeeds.

Inside is an unidentified magical amulet. It appears to be made out of gold.

Let me know what you want to do with the amulet.

You have no choice now but to turn around, backtrack, and then take the "Short Cut."

Son of a bitch, 4 turns! That really hurt, hopefully the amulet was worth it. who do u think should wear it?

I don't know. Yeah, that is a long cut. I'm assuming if this guy's hint was supposed to be "helpful" that it was worth it.

idk, what items do u have again?

Let's put it on before we go, in case it somehow helps speed us up or something.

I guess we put it on Danny? He's least likely to get killed and our main fighter, in case it's something useful for that. Of course it might be more useful on a mage for all we know.

I have a ring of strength. Danny has something or other of Good. You've got the necklace.

[Autumn]

It's possible it increases experience or something, in which case we'd want you to have it Darth, or it could have to do with mage ability. So maybe we should try it on you first.

Ok, I'll wear it. As long as we all have something we're in good shape

[Autumn]

All right, KWhit, Darth will put on the amulet and then we'll head back to the short cut.

I'm going to head out to work now so you'll be on your own autumn, won't be back til 9 my time

Room 10:

You take the more dangerous looking short cut.

The light dims as you travel through the corridor. A light spell sure would come in handy now. DV casts light, allowing you to travel through more quickly. You press onward.

Bones crunch underfoot and it begins to get cold. Unearthly cold.

"I've got a bad feeling about this" one of you mutters.

A few shapes move quickly from up ahead and an unnatural, guttural moan can be heard just before you are attacked by 2 ghouls.

Awesome! We made a good choice.

KWhit, why can't Darth cast a light spell?

Oh yeah! An additional life and two ghouls, awesome day!
