Happy 30th birthday to Michael Jackson's 'Thriller'
It was 30 years ago today, Nov. 30th, 1982, that the album Thriller was released. I remember not being able to go anywhere in the summer of '83 without hearing one of the songs off of the album playing on a boom box.

For younger people, MTV would play Thriller every hour. Considering the length of the video, it felt like it was always on.

I still remember how massive the debut of the Thriller video was. It was "an event".

But the zombie/horror thing and Vincent Price and all did appeal to kids. Heh I forgot about the "every hour" thing. Heh. And the unfortunate thing is it gave lots of people the delusion that they can dance by copying one move. |

Great album except that the song thriller was the most overrated song and video of all time, imo. Even when it came out, I would not watch the video and instead wait for Billie jean or beat it.
