2019 Games We're Looking Forward To:

Here's the PC Side:

https://www.pcgamer.com/new-games-2019/

My wants:

Mechwarrior 5 Mercenaries Love the universe, love the game series, and this looks fun.

Civ 6: Gathering Storm

For some reason, I bounced off Civilization 6 when it was released. I'm hoping that the new expansion wiill help.

Phoenix Point:

Looks like a grognard/X-com (old school) fans dream

Cyberpunk 2077

I am so hyped for this, I will probably be forcing a couple of my friends to purchase this (looking right at you, Sack, although that may have to be PS4 for you)

Maybe:
Total War: Three Kingdoms

I wouldn't have recommended total war games, but the way they've done the Warhammer games means I want to give this a look (I'm a fan of the Three Kingdoms time period)

Anno 1800:

Anno 1800 Gameplay (Gamescom) - YouTube

Historical series, looks fun, haven't gotten into the series before

GTFO:

The folks who worked on payday (which is a really fun four player game) are behind this

That's just PC, but let's open it to all consoles as well. What are YOU looking forward to in 2019?

The Anno series is something I've always looked at and been intrigued by, but have never played. I've never played any of the Total War games either, for that matter.

I am looking forward to MechWarrior 5, tho.

Cyberpunk 2077 definitely.

Total War: Three Kingdoms is a firm maybe. I think Warhammer worked because it was a big break from the norm, but I'll wait for reviews.

For the price it better be Civ 6.5.

I'm hoping The Last of Us 2 gets released next year. The first one still gives me chills in a good and bad way.

Ace Combat 7. Haven't played flight simulators since Microprose days and this looks like a good possibility. Don't need the ultra realistic flight models.

SW Fallen Order looks interesting.

Another one for Star Citizen but not holding my breath. It joins GRRM and Patrick Rothfuss in my FU Hall of Fame.

Looks like a deeper, more-ancient Banished. So I'm in.

It was supposedly being released this month, but is now slated for "at some point in 2019", so fingers crossed it isnt vaporware.

Gathering Storm is about it for me on PC.

On consoles, the list is a little larger.

Shenmue 3 for sure. Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 pushed me from "Get a Switch eventually" to hopefully getting one in the early part of the New Year, and the acquisition of a Switch means there's a few games I need to pick up for that that have been out a while. Mario, Zelda, etc. Games I'm looking forward to in 2019 that aren't actually releasing in 2019. Shh.

Wargroove is coming to a couple platforms, but Switch is where I'd play it.

Hoping for a Persona 5 Complete Switch announcement, as well.
