I'd rather have a trout shoved up my rectum than watch another episode of the Apprentice.

Read somewhere that both get hired. I think Randal will do the better job, but Rebecca is much hotter.

Well, the have already hired two white guys and a white female. So this time they get a black male, and next season it will be a asian female, and the show ends.

Well, they're trying to make us think that Randal is screwed with the rain coming in after he pretty much guaranteed the Outback dude that the weather was going to be nice. And I haven't really seen Rebecca make any mistakes this final task...but from what I've seen (and I admit I haven't seen the entire season) Randal has performed better overall.

see i havn't watched this show like at all, but the few minutes I have seen of it (usually the last 10 minutes or so before ER) and the episode or two that I've half-watched I've kind of enjoyed. More than any other reality show. I gotta think that...hell I don't know. I wanna say Rebecca is gonna win, but I think that they're trying to spin it like Randall will lose, so he'll probably win.

if rebecca loses does she do a playboy spread sooner? if so then i'll vote for randall to win!

No, but only because Carolyn's been in the business a while. I think Rebecca has that potential though.

Big fan? I just can't judge the people anymore business-wise. The business value of the show has really slipped, and just became the same thing over and over. Also, is it just me, or is Carolyn sexin-it-up with her looks more and more?

Arlie loves the show. And since it was the only thing he would take time out from development to watch this year, if I wanted to spend some time with him I had to watch too.

I kind of agree with the business value tending to give way to people who paid for sponsorships to be on the show. Like the whole Star Wars/Best Buy challenge. Couldn't help but feel like I was watching one giant commercial.

And I don't think it's Carolyn sexing it up as much as I think she saw herself on TV, realized she looked like crap and decided to fix it. She finally got a decent hair cut this season.

Yeah but Rebecca lost her MC for her event due to a "union conflict". She's equally screwed. I think she can pull it off though, while Randall will have a difficult time adjusting for the weather.

Wow. Randal is a prick. I can't believe he'd stab Rebecca in the back like that after she was so good to him. I wish Trump would have fired Randal the second he did that, and hired Rebecca instead.

Agreed - I wish Trump had posed the question before announcing his hiring. It was almost a King Solomon situation and Randal showed that his complete desire to be the sole person in the limelight soured my impression of him.

exactly the way I feel about him now too. Maybe kind of shows that what he wanted wasn't really to work with Trump but to be under the spotlight. I mean he was hired, he will get to work for Trump, what would he have lost, in his professional life, by letting him hire her too. Sure he could stand to lose some TV and radio air time, but all of his talk about working with Trump being the best way to learn all sounds so shallow now...

He would have had an even larger spotlight on him if he had done the right thing and allowed Rebecca to be hired. Now he's going to have a very ugly spotlight. I thought he was the best choice until that moment, but then I would have hired both of them rather than leave it in their hands.

Randal still would have gotten the bonuses for being the "winner." Trump wasn't making them co-winners as much as making another hiring. There was no reason to do that except to be a selfish prick.

Alla was just jealous that Trump didn't hire her stripper, non-educated ass. Anyhow, I agree with the sentiments above about Randal. The only thing that makes me wonder about Rebecca is that only Toral was in her corner. I don't think any other candidate was for her. When Randal asked the others to stand up, the lights were off so we didn't see who would support him (I also thought that was a very cheesy move as well).

There is something about that to that has got me wondering. He had to know they would stand which means he had to discuss it beforehand. My guess is the Allah poisoned the well against Rebecca (remember, her team was pretty srongly behind her when they interviewed in the board room) among all the players. There was definite strong feelings from Allah against Rebecca. I wouldn't be surprised if she convinced Randal that hiring two people would be a slap against him (since that was an open rumor going in).

Yep. I think she probably convinced him that there were more "deserving" people who got fired, so he should say no.

What a deathly bitch. Whenever I watch the intro and her face goes black and white, she looks like a cast member of Night of the Living Dead.

Not directly related, but sorta since the Martha apprentice finale is next Wednesday. From a Business Week interview with Martha - sounds like she had a miserable time, regardless of the ratings:

A big part of your reintroduction to the public has been two TV shows that launched this year: The Apprentice: Martha Stewart and Martha. Which has been more satisfying to you?
It's unusual for me to take a job like The Apprentice, and it was just a job. I got paid a fee. I have no participation in the show. Generally, we're the originators. But I did it because I knew it would be a jump-start, and it would get attention.

You're getting close to the conclusion.
Yeah, we're getting close to which of those inappropriate contestants we are actually going to have to hire. I can't believe people behave like that. They're exhibitionists and opportunists, those kids. I did not choose them either, by the way. I just want you to know I had nothing to do really with the choice of the contestants. That's part of reality television.

I hate to thread jack here but how are Donna and the Diet chick with a butterface inappropriate contestants? They aren't exhibitionists and wild and crazy...Howie and Jim were. Martha is sour b/c her show sucked.

Randal is a prick. He pulls out the "this isn't the Apprentii" joke, shut up and get a nose job.

Initially I thought Randall was an ass for doing what he did, but then now I think I understand why he did what he did. Think about it, if you have just worked your butt off trying to win and then after you've been declared the winner for all your hard work, your boss then tells you the other person tried hard too, and could he/she win too? That's almost a slap on the face and makes you feel like you just worked so hard for nothing. I am not saying it wasn't a selfish and asinine move but it's an understandable one.
