FOFC Favorite One Hit Wonder (OHW) - Play In

I looked back and it's been 18 months since BYU14 did his Rock Band Bracket. Figured with the holidays coming up, things might slow down enough at work that people might be interested in having a poll to vote on...

I decided I'd use the One Hit Wonder Countdown Thread I created earlier this year as the seeding for the songs.

There were 274 songs originally...I've removed a few that I missed when doing the original definition or that were so big on other charts that they shouldn't qualify. We are left with 268 songs - in order to give each song a chance, there is a play in round of 24 teams to inherit the bottom 12 seeds.

I'm going to leave the poll open for 3 days, and on Monday I'll start the main portion of the bracket.

While there are quite a few choices here, I decided to include all of them because there are several that fall outside of the top 256 that I think could really make a run...

Should be interesting...

If you need reminders on the songs, they are all linked in the OHW thread that is linked in the first post, but seed number won't match up because of the removal of some of the songs from the original list.

To be stupidly clear, we're supposed to pick a winner from each pairing, yes?

If I remember correctly, it was a definition thing. Basically the definition was that the artist had to have a second hit more than 6 months after their 1 big hit or it was considered a follow up that rose on the strength of the first song. Unfortunately, The Big Bopper died 3 months after his hit in the plane crash...
