Chemistry Question
I just signed a FA RB who immediately became my backfield leader. Was a bit of an 'oops', but it's ok. I'm not die-hard into the chemistry thing, but it does intrigue me.
So, he's a 9-10 presumably - born on 9/24, right on the cusp. My starting QB is a 12-1 - also a cuspy, born on 12/23. There's no affinity... is it because one or the other is on the cusp enough, or is it simply their lack of personality - 26 for the QB, 38 for the RB. |

You should cut your starting RB and QB just to be safe.

I would think it's the low personality score there, but others like Quik/Subby/RKG could give a more definitive answer.

Low personality is the issue. Previous versions recognized the matches, but it seems like you need a stronger bond to get it to show up now.

It's a reference to the astrological sign groups that FOF's chemistry system is based on. Players with birthdays between different ranges of dates are in different groups and have built in affinities and conflicts with other groups. A search of this forum should give you a list of the respective date groups and their corresponding affinities/conflicts. Not a stupid question at all. |

Just a bit more here... in many areas of "astrology" there's a belief that if you were born on one of the dates that is right on the edge between two zodiac signs, then you are on the "cusp" and might exhibit a weaker tendency than ordinarily expressed by others sharing your sign. The original poster's question was building on this, and asking if perhaps the lack of expected chemistry between two players might be a result of them being on the edge of their zodiac signs. It's not the case (I don't think cusps have any effect at all in FOF) but the question builds on some of the bizarre thinking commonly behind stuff like astrology. |

astrology as a chemistry builder, very interesting...
but I guess Jim had to choose some factor that causes conflicts/affinities Thanks for the explanations! |
