It's official.

I am moving the Day One deadline to Tuesday night, so everyone can get acclimated to the rules and have their questions answered. PMs will go out tomorrow night when I get home from work, and that will officially start the game. Day One (which, you will note, is actually the entire first year of the first term of Congress) will end at 9 p.m. EST Tuesday, and 6 p.m. PDT.

I will be available during the work day to answer questions vis email at [email protected]. So if anyone wants to ask a question of me before I get home, you can reach me there. I work from 10 a.m. EST (7 a.m. EST) to 7 p.m. EST (4 p.m. PDT) weekdays.

Well, even starting tomorrow night, it will be pretty much a full 24 hours to look it over from that perspective. I think that should work, especially with full rules posted a full day-plus before that.

THE GAME IS ON!!!

It is now the start of day cycle of Day One. This is the only cycke in the game which will stand for an entire "Year" within the game.

The Floor of Congress is now open for bill proposals and announcements from either party, and anyone in the game may now post in-character.

The Day One deadline is 9 p.m. EST (6 p.m. PDT) Tuesday.

Congress has only one public responsibility today: elect a new Speaker of the House. Choose carefully. The Speaker will serve in the role of the President with respect to signing bills until a new President is elected at the end of the Day Two day cycle on Wednesday evening.

This is in addition to the decisions you need to make for your parties, as well as bill proposals and votes.

There is NO wolf vote today, nor will there be a wolf kill during the first night cycle (tomorrow night). So use that extra time wisely!

I nominate KWhit for the Speaker position. He is usaly on the ball and a very good player who see's alot of different angle's ( allthough not always correct, see the draft game) but at least he thinks outside the box.

Not if it's just a nomination/suggestion. If you're putting up not only a nomination, but a vote, please do bold it as if you are doing a wolf vote, but do it like this:

VOTE CHIEF RUM FOR SPEAKER

For later reference on possible actions in the future:

VOTE LYNCH CHIEF RUM or VOTE CHIEF RUM WOLF

and

VOTE YES ON FOOL BILL or VOTE NO ON FOOL BILL

and

VOTE IMPEACH CHIEF RUM

Hope that gets the idea across. There are a lot of votes in this game. It is a good idea to not only always bold a vote, but also state what the vote is for (and in as simple a manner as possible).

Assuming, BTW, olie will not be available before you guys choose some of your party roles, please do PM me when you have selected your leaders and your liaisons. In particular, I need to know the liaisons so I can give clearance to them to be able to PM each other right away, as opposed to waiting until I return from work.

Also, I will need an email from both liaisons informing me that they were selected, so I can give them both the go ahead directly. I wouldn't want to grant PM rights to one liaison but not the other, after all.
