Definitely the best episode in quite some time, actually got the show back on track.
I hope they can stay the course to a solid ending. Agree, with above too, Smits is always strong and he came through again, but Hunnan really stepped it up. Have to give a shout out to Dayton Callie as well. Though he did a great job manipulating others for once, instead of always being the way looking like a dummy. Sucks he is still protecting Gemma though. |

I'm just glad that the cat is finally out of the bag. I finally caught up on all of this season last night right before the episode.

I was thinking this was the best episode of the season, but then it just wouldn't end.
stealing a car, resisting arrest, causing what looks like a catastrophic accident that could have resulted in a dead cop....Jax should be facing a long jail sentence from that 2 minute sequence. Knowing how smart Sutter thinks he is, I'm predicting JT faked his death, will show himself in the finale and save Jax from his "club" punishment for killing the older Sons guy 2 episodes ago. I know how ridiculous this sounds, but i really think he at the very least considered this.

So, my guess for the finale:
Most of the loose ends get tied up Jax doesn't meet Mr. Mayhem. He gets kicked out of the club and all of his club tats forcibly removed. Jax, Wendy, the kids and Nero move to the farm. Just when you think it will end that way, the Chinese or Irish track them down and kill them all.

1. I'm assuming the unwritten rule was about the blacks and this way they can patch over the Grim Bastards.
2. Jax is going to get that mayhem vote. I bet Chibs has to hand it out . 3. His only other option will be jail I'd assume. |

Hah, I though last night was the series finale. Not so disappointed now. Sad state of the series if I could believe that was it.

Sutter called this "the best episode of the season". Talk about disconnect. I wish someone would do a "Phantom Edit" of this season. There's good stuff in this show but editing would serve it well. I'm not watching his next show if the episodes exceed a standard length. At some point each week becomes an ordeal. If I was watching without skip I'd have been done a long time ago.

It is the lady pushing the shopping cart that appears every once in a while. I think her first appearance this season was at vending machine at the rest stop when Gemma gets the ride from the tomato trucker.

That has to have been the bloodiest episode of the series as far as "main character deaths" hmm?
Kind of weird that they wrapped that all up already and the main thing left is basically like "what is the secret unwritten bylaw that Jax got the other Presidents to waive and how will that play into stuff?" Last edited by DaddyTorgo : 12-04-2014 at 08:17 PM. |

A coworker friend of mine who is way too into this show thinks Jax has to have a Macbeth ending so she thinks his lazy leg is leading to him slowly dying from poisoning. Interesting take though I have to admit I know nothing about Macbeth so I am taking her word. She also said that zoom by dead Unser specifically pointed out a King's chalice.

Unser's death has to be one of the weirdest ways to kill off a really important character in the show. There was no emotion to it. He was just a prop in the end. So bizarre.
Sutter is really a terrible writer. |

Yeah you saw it coming and almost didn't care. I don't think Sutter is a bad writer though, his work on The Shield was very solid and there were some great moments on this show. The problem is I think this went two seasons too many to milk the popularity. It got to the point where there was nothing more to do but try and top the last shocking moment and it became impossible to believe all the carnage wouldn't have brought in a federal task force and the National Guard. I am still actually looking forward to the prequel, which could be solid if done correctly and not so over the top. Justified is a show SOA could take an example from. Ending this season too and it has never gotten old, at least to me. Plus it has the benefit of Coggins, who is one of the most under rated actors around. And speaking of The Shield, by squeezing in that cameo from Michael Chiklis he has finally gotten all major cast members from that show time on SOA. |

Then again, Justified pulls about half the audience SOA is pulling. I mean, we can all bitch buuuuut, well it's not as though it isn't working.

Watching on DVR - my prediction after 30 minutes - Jax is going to capture Connor and turn him over to the DA (to give up the Kings) in order to buy immunity and WitSec for himself and get the club out of guns.

Solid finale, a bit iffy towards the end. But given how this show was, I guess it works. Really would have wanted like one more 10-15min montage though. It's crazy to think about how this was easily a 17+ hour season and we couldn't get those minutes. Last edited by stevew : 12-10-2014 at 12:39 AM. |

After a day for it to sink in I have to say despite it's foibles I am going to miss the show. I thought the finale was pretty solid and even a bit touching at the end. Even if the loose ends were tied up in a predictable manner, there wasn't really much choice in doing it any other way and it did complete the circle. Hopefully the prequel can recapture some of what SOA had in the early seasons.

I think First 9 could be a disaster frankly. There's going to be so many characters with "plot armor" that it has serious potential to just be like...dull.

Just a question, maybe trolling, but gun to your head, did anyone know the name of the fat Hispanic or the tall Kevin Nash looking guy?
Also, did anyone else notice the Melo cameo from a few weeks ago? |
