IWS#233 Are you ready for some more football questions?
The Rules
The rules are the same as previous FOFC “I’m With Stupid" Contests, as set forth by the game's, and indeed our very community's, most cherished and beloved progenitors and inspirational leaders, and also QuikSand. May we never lose our commitment to reverently speak their names and heartily toast their greatness (as well as toasting QuikSand). The object of this contest is to answer the questions posted, and to provide the most common answer among those submitted. For each question, your score will be equal to the number of people who submitted that response. Your score for the contest will be the product of your individual question scores. For the mathematically challenged, product means they are multiplied together, not added. Highest score wins. Collaboration of any kind is strictly forbidden. No posting your answers to this board, nor sharing them by e-mail or in any other way with other potential contestants. There are no prizes other than everlasting glory and total consciousness on your deathbed, so the need to cheat shouldn't be an issue. All determinations of "matches" and anything else requiring even the most trivial degree of judgment fall to that of the sole administrator of this round of the game. You can reduce the need for doubt and judgment by properly spelling your submissions, being clear, and that sort of thing. My decisions are final and utterly inarguable, no exceptions. I summarily reject any suggestion of this structure as evidence of any personal character flaw. Any references that are unclear to you, due to language or geography, should be understood to be authored from the perspective of an English-speaking American. However... Your answers do not necessarily have to be correct in order to score points. If I ask "Who is the most likely board member to go to a Georgia Tech game this year?", and you answer, "JonInMiddleGA", along with 9 other people, you each score 10 points, even though the correct answer is "digamma." You will also be forever scorned for suggesting that coffee should be tainted with any foreign products.

The Questions 1. Stupid got lucky and drew the first pick in his fantasy football draft. Everyone figures he'll take Charles, Peterson or maybe Rodgers. But the real question is who Stupid can get in the second round when it snakes back around to him. In his 10 man league, who does Stupid take with 2(20)? 2. Stupid's significant other ("SO") has vowed to get into football this year. SO is new to the game and needs to pick a favorite team. SO decides to pick based on who has the prettiest uniforms. Who does Stupid's SO pick as a favorite team? 3. Stupid lives in Southern California and is excited when the NFL awards Los Angeles an expansion team. Even better, Stupid wins a contest to give the team a nickname. What does Stupid decide to call the new Los Angeles franchise? 4. Stupid is in a pick 'em league where he assigns confidence points to the game he's most sure about each week. With team does he pick in Week 1 this season as his highest confidence winner? 5. Stupid decides to put a deposit down for season tickets for the new Los Angeles _____ inaugural season. How much is Stupid willing to put down as a deposit to guarantee good, non-end zone seats? 6. Stupid gets to go to a meet and greet with an existing NFL general manager. Stupid starts talking to him about this great text sim game called Front Office Football, where you get to be the GM of a football team. The GM is interested and immediately logs onto Steam to buy copies for his entire front office, with the hope they can learn something from the game. Which team's GM is Stupid talking to? |

Regarding #6 - any GM who would like copies of the game would only have to ask. I'd suspect they'd laugh a little at the simplicity of the financial model, though. It would be a little like having surgeons play "Operation" from Milton Bradley in their free time.
