NFL Draft thread-2018

Thought it would be good to have all the draft reaction in one thread.

I have no idea what my beloved Cardinals are going to do tonight. They have not drafted a QB in the first round since Matt Leinart in 2006. They got out manuevered in last year's draft with DeShaun Watson and Pat Mahomes. Seen a couple analysts say the Cards have been the "busiest" when it comes to trying to make a trade in the 1st round tonight. They didn't resign any of their speedy young receivers in the off-season, letting them walk. They seem to think that Sam Bradford and Matt Glennon will be enough for them this season. So I think this is leading me to think they will go WR or CB tonight, and pray that a quality QB prospect will still be there in the 2nd round.

Is the problem the lyrics in hip hop/rap or white people quoting song lyrics?

The immediate problem is if some team timed this leak in order to cause him to drop so that they could draft him without trading up. They are attacking his reputation and possibly costing him millions.

Maybe that's true, but he should be penalized for his social media stupidity.

So Colt GM Chris Ballard has said that there are eight premium non QBs in this league. I have to imagine that's an open invitation to a team like Buffalo to trade up.

I mean yea...but they could have just released his game film for the same effect.

I think there's a chance either Rosen or Allen will fall to 15. For Green Bay, I hope one of these situations happens:

1. One of Minkah Fitzpatrick, Tremaine Edmunds, Denzel Ward or Derwin James slips to 14.

2. All the big D guys get taken, but either Rosen or Allen slips to 14. GB convinces a QB-hungry team to panic and get ahead of Arizona for a nice bounty of picks to trade down.

If Nelson isn't available for the Bears at 8, I hope they find a sucker, I mean partner, to trade back and acquire some picks. Buffalo would be great. Picking up the #12 and #22 or #12 and some of the second and third round picks would work well.

Dorsey is from the Ted Thompson school of no leaks and keeping things close to the vest in Green Bay leading up to the draft. Cleveland is notorious for leaking info. What if Dorsey told Hue one guy and his owner another - then waited to see who got leaked? There's really no damage for a leak given they pick 1 - but it would be a good way for him to see the leaky spot in the boat.

As long as Dorsey isn't asking homeless people who he should draft then he should be an improvement on his predecessors.

It might not be the best value or the right pick, but it's hopefully going to be fun to watch the Giants offense over the next few years. OBJ, Engram, Shepard and Barkley. I'm crossing my fingers that Pat Shurmur knows how to plan with that talent and at least make Giants offense fun to watch again.

No Twitter. Last two just guesses. Had the Barkley comment typed in and ready in case they picked him.

Gotta think the Saints would scoop Chubb up in a heartbeat if the Broncos don't.

We're actually probably lucky they didn't draft Mayfield AND Rosen to create competition in camp.

Got out of the top 5 with just 2 QBs taken. The next several teams don't need QBs. Rosen and Allen will fall, and Allen, after all of the hype (and anti-hype reaction), might even fall out of the first round.

I really didn't think pick 7 would be the first trade, although I did laugh at some of suggestions on how much the Bills would give up to get a QB.
