I guess we can hope that it was wolf-wolf and the wolfies couldn't get their act together or were worried about Inigo changing the vote if they were too overt in swinging the vote. Actually makes the duke power pretty useful.

You decide on Lathum. As you round him up you see he has 6 fingers.

"Stop!!!!" Someone screams.

"Hello! My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die!!!"

Suddenly a sword is thrust into Lathum and he falls to the ground but as he falls he reaches out with his sword and strikes a fatal blow to KatyLied.

They both lay motionless.

Who killed Lathum? Your powers of observation again fail you.


Lathum was the Count.

KatyLied was a vanilla villager.

Then you wake up and see that all of this must have been a dream. You fell asleep while Grandpa was reading a story to you. You look around and see that everyone is still alive.

Wait, now wake again. This time you notice that Narcizo is laying on the ground dead. No, not Grandpa!

Nope. Inigo was our main worry throughout the day. As Vizzini, I wasn't actually alerted when my ability worked.

We did capture your vote though, so voting wise, Zinto's switch was unnecessary.

BTW my no vote yesterday was by design.I knew my hand was forced to vote Font, but we needed to get me lynched. I didn't want to make it obvious by doing a late switch or going to a 3rd candidate, so I just abstained

First time in ages I vote a wolf on day one and I had already decided that the vote wasn't going to matter.

the biggest play was the ROUS killing JAG. We were racking our brains trying to figure out how to get him out.

FWIW I am strongly gainst a seer having any power to self protect. Way to OP IMO.

Lathum..I think the fact that the rous could kill the seer probably counteracted the extra protect that jag got.

We were really surprised that Jag used his bg ability already. I had thought that Jag tried to get away without using it on the night he revealed.


Then the whole day yesterday we were trying to find a not so obvious way to get lathum lynched.

I was Inigo - my main task throughout the game was to search for the Count, but I could not reveal my scan results at all (at least until the Count was dead). I had it narrowed down to Lathum and mau - and I had scanned font yesterday, which is why I was pushing her more than Lathum (because I had a feeling it WAS him).

Zinto made his switch so late that I wouldn't have been able to get in a duke anyway, but I also didn't want to waste it on a non-count player when I still wasn't 100% sure.

I had a feeling on both you and mau! Bah!

And good job on Zinto, Narc (and others). I was so conflicted because I kept marking them off as "cleared" on my list, even though they weren't truly "cleared" (only cleared as Count)

Sad part is that I had Lathum in for a couple of my "conditional" orders - should have just gone with my gut and scanned him early, then this might have turned out differently!

And I think I have played a duke one other time (although this was a bit of a different twist on it, but still) and I still have not figured out the best way to use this role. I always want to wait it out to see if I can actually find someone to use it on (especially in this case) and I just feel like I am wasting it.
