ping FOFC IT posse (redux)
I use Firefox 18.0.2 - and every time I exit Firefox, it appears to empty the cache.
The obvious problem is that when I revisit a site like FOFC or something more work-focused, it no longer recognizes my login, and treats me like a first time visitor. Once I enter in the login, it has the passwords stored (which is what I want). I do have a variety of extensions installed, including AdBlock and NoScript -- but those have been installed and running for a long time, and this is a recent problem. We have made a vendor change recently, ported to Microsoft Exchange for our email and communications stuff -- that doesn't seem relevant to me, but my IT pains have risen substantially since doing so. Any thoughts? Even just what terms should I be googling to get some online guidance? |

Well, that's a tough one. I have one very important question to ask you.
What's the likelihood that you've been watching Huey Lewis & The News videos on your computer? A.) Somewhat likely B.) Pretty likely C.) Extremely likely D.) I'm watching one right now

I have several options for remember history on this page (but quote worded the way you say). I'm not really concerned about privacy here, so best to set that to "always remember history" might help? |

Aha, on security screen -- setting for "Tell websites I don't want to be tracked" -- that was checked, I unchecked it, seems to have done the trick.
I apparently am in a middle ground. I really don't want to be tracked, but I also don't want to be forgotten. Alas. |
