I don't think I have gotten my game in, I will likely play it the same time I play my game from the Ladder.

Holy moly, we had a shootout with North Plainfield. Their offense was just going nuts on us til we finally managed to get a stop late in the 3rd. We had fortunately managed to trade scores all the way to that point, so we used that opportunity to take a 2 score lead and finally their machine broke down with one final interception after which we ran out the clock for the 45-35 win.

Our offense was incredible in this one, managing to convert at least 2 3rd downs with more than 15 yards to go for a first. The run game worked in slowly and finally started getting chunk plays in the second half as we wore their D down. Their team was scoring too fast, so I think we wore them down as the game continued and then when we managed to finally go up by 2 scores we had em.

I hope Conti graduates sometime soon. He's a monster.

We're ready to advance.

Also, as an aside.. Did anyone happen to catch the Madden Championship on NFL network? I feel like we could hang with those guys. They didn't play like I would expect "Top ranked in the world" players to play. Throwing it up in triple coverage, etc.

From what I've seen, the Madden Championship guys are all cheesy, exploit the AI guys. Of course, we tend to run it up in these leagues too.

I will advance things at lunch.

That was a wild one Gramm.. Going down 14-3 early it looked bad, I figured I was in for another frustrating beat down.. But then we managed to find a way to force some mistakes, and that saved our asses. I was so pissed at that clipping call on my first kick return.

GG man, I never look forward to human/human games because they're so hard to predict and this one was no different. I only hope it was enough to prove to the voters that we deserve a shot at a BCS bowl.

Our game against the Vipers was kindof annoying. I was looking forward to working against Ronnie Kemp, their 99-rated RB. But they kept feeding some other guy the ball. Kemp didn't touch the ball until the second half of the game, and that was on a pass. Stupid CPU coach. Feed Ronnie the rock!

Sorry, had to run right after the game, good job. I figured you would feel good with the come back. Very frustrating for me. The usual Special Teams formations were missing, including goal line, etc. No real problem their, it is the new norm and only a problem when guys go for two and you want GL.

The worst was my playbook did not have Dime or Nickel formations. So once you abandoned the run and started passing I had some Blitz formations but no solid pass formations that I know. Then that just bleeds frustration to everything, even the offense.

Really not sure what else to do in these scenarios, I just can't deal with stopping and spending an hour trying to reload and restart Xbox's, etc.

We mangled Frederick this week, our offense must have been riding high after our comeback. Green was 13 for 15 for over 300 yards and a couple scores. His only incompletions were drops. Frederick handled our run game pretty well though.

As for them, their offense was not really much of a challenge, I feel like we knew what they were doing the whole game. I was waiting for the old CPU screenaroo, but they never ran it, and thus made it easy on me.

After a couple of first-quarter interceptions, Conti came to life and ate us up. He had two passing TDs and 113 rushing yards with 2 TDs. What a jerk.

It was a long week for me this past week.. I had a health scare involving a shellfish allergy and then decided to quit smoking weed.. Somehow it slipped my mind that withdrawal symptoms involve anxiety and depression, so I wrongly assumed I was losing my shit again mentally like I did back in 2009.. Well fast forward to the past couple days and as the initial withdrawal symptoms have subsided my mood has changed drastically and now I am on cloud 9. Turns out that the way marijuana works on me is that it slows down my digestion enough to cause bad bacteria to build up in my stomach, and what I thought was irritable bowel syndrome may have been almost completely due to my smoking habits. It's crazy the things the mind and body can do when in different states and how little things can turn into big things without really giving any indication as to why.

I've learned a lot this past week.

Don't know why, but I thought I would share that, heh. Guess that explains why I didn't play though.. Couldn't find joy in anything for a good week or so.

Got my game in, and it was a damn struggle to say the least. Back and forth all the way, we came down the field late with a chance to win 44-41 with a FG.. But my controller has been failing to register input from the thumbstick on kicks recently... So I went to kick it, and of course, that happened.

So.. We went to OT. I wanted the ball first, got it, scored, and went for 2 to try and end it immediately, but we failed the 2 point conversion. Shit was tense. Tucker got the ball, got a first down on 3rd and long on their first series of downs, then we shut em down for 3 straight plays setting up a last chance play from about the 12 yard line.

We went with a dollar package, running a man coverage blitz to try and keep our guys close and their QB under pressure. Duncan dropped to throw, had time, got a great block from his RB to pick up a blitzer, and then fired the ball into the corner of the end zone, to a wide open guy who had broken free from coverage by running through traffic in the end zone.. My heart dropped.. And then the WR dropped the ball.

Biggest sigh of relief of the season.

We win 47-41 in a struggle I don't want to revisit any time soon.

Not sure how that 3-star WR ended up committing to us, as we never recruited him and had offers out to 2 guys to fill our final spot. Oh well. Will cut him.
