Or 4pm on a Friday. "Dang, it's 3:59pm, still an hour to go until the weekend." "5:00! Woohoo!"

I'm not a very avid flyer so I basically have no idea what the fuck I am doing in an airport, and I have heard that Detroit's airport is massive so... yea.. better safe then sorry?

Man, losing an hour of sleep when I have to get up early to go to work is going to suck. Hopefully I can leave here soon so I can get to sleep a smidge earlier.

I would say 2 hours would be plenty of time, even for someone who doesn't know wht is going on.

Detroit Metro Airport should take you an hour tops on a Sunday morning. Maybe give yourself 1 1/2 hours if you really have no idea where you are going. Usually, if you are flying Northwest, you take the McNamara Terminal, if you are flying anyone else, you take the North Terminal. There is a road that circles the airport, just watch the signs. |

My rant.
I was supposed to pick up some pharms at 2am to deliver to some dying lady half way across the state. After a long debate with dispatch about whether they meant 1am or the new 3am(the old 2 am), I still didnt know what was going on. Then he calls at midnight and tells me that its now 5am(the old 4am) But the lady might still die in the meantime so nothing is for sure. Now I'm sitting in bed scared shitless that I'm gonna fuck up and miss my alarm. Or if she does die I'll have missed out on a ton of sleep and not made a decent chunko Change. Then I have the internal debate as to how the fuck it makes sense for a facility to have its pharmAcy 180 miles away. And someone drives that run out to them 6 days a week but they don't have enough meds for that 7th day. But what the fuck ever. I'm just a driver and they pay well. Didn't see a recent thread on this past weekend so here I am.
I'd just like to place my vote in the "stop fucking with the time" camp. It's friggin dark at 5pm now and sunny as hell at 7am. WTF?! I dont give a crap if it is dark until 10am...stop screwing with my afternoons!! Ok...feeling better now. |

Yep. I totally don't mind if it's dark for my morning drive -- that's probably just me, though, it makes me feel like I'm getting a good start on my day -- but I don't get in what scenario it's a good idea to sacrifice light from 5pm to 6pm, to get it back from 6am to 7am.

One frequent reasoning for this is to limit the number of kids who leave for school in the dark (when it's more difficult to see them waiting for buses & such).

I've always hated this time change bullshit, but even moreso now that I have a child. Try telling an 8-month old that the clock shifted back... poor little guy is exhausted at dinner time and then wants to get up at 6am. Hopefully his clock will adjust soon.
