Solecismic Software College Football Ratings

the + and - thing (for predicted win or predicted loss) on the team's schedule, is that picking the winner straight up or picking the winner vs. the spread?

e.g. on Miami schedule the Florida St. game has a +8 after it

its not for predicted win or loss, it's just the spread for the game. Thus Miami is getting 8 points for the FSU game.

Yeah, I thought it was going to be another "when can we expect something from Jim" thread.

it seems you're mistaken

look at the bottom of the schedule - it says

+ = Predicted Win - = Predicted Loss

Miami is favored by 3 1/2 right now (i.e. -3.5)

Not the case. It's the system's prediction of the outcome of the game. Therefore it's predicting Miami wins by 8.

Well, maybe not. Maybe I am, but CT is saying the opposite of what you're saying.

Can anyone clarify?

Thanks.

Okay, I think I got it.

If the system predicted FSU wins by 3, Miami's schedule would have a -3 after where Florida State game is appears.

I was just looking at that yesterday here/early this morning there.

UT is a predicted 7 point loss to Cal.
