Redshirting question

Are 5 star guys more likely to transfer than lower-star guys if you redshirt them?

I think so, but I have no hard evidence to prove it.

Yeah, I have no evidence (heck, I've only just started landing 5 star guys), but I fear if I sit my freshman 5* QB, he'll want out, even though our starter will graduate after the season, paving the way for him to be a 4-year starter.

I've just started waiting a year to redshirt guys when they are sophomores. Seems they don't often transfer after that freshman season.

Depends on how good of notes you take.

If early playing time is there #1 concern they will transfer EVERY.DAMN.TIME. you redshirt them year 1.

I hate to say this, but with waning interest lately in both leagues and with seasons taking 3-4 months to complete I have quit redshirting anyone as I am unsure the league will still be viable in 5 seasons.

Eh. Barring EA no longer supporting the game and things becoming unworkable, I plan to keep the Ladder and the American going indefinitely.

Likewise for the Pyramid, which likely moves slower because there are 6 participants.

Not sure if it makes a difference, but try moving the guy you want to start to the #1 spot on the depth chart prior to start of the player graduating phase.
