Houston is apparently the first Final Four team to not play a single digit seed in getting there.

Yup they played who lined up across them so won't hold that against them. I suppose if they can blown out by 22 against Baylor the talking heads are right in saying they have no right being even in the Sweet 16 but if they keep it relatively close and make a game of it that would prove they deserve it. They ironically remind me of the Jimmy Valvano team that upset the Final four apple cart including upsetting Houston in 1983.

Well--- This Houston team is far more talented than that. I think UCLA would be a better comparison to NC St if they can beat Michigan.

Houston certainly deserves to be there. They were a #2 seed and in Pomeroys top 10 most of the year.

Jordan Bohannon will come back to Iowa for another year if the NIL legislation passes. This will be like his 8th year.

Jack Nunge decides to enter the transfer portal. This is a huge loss with Garza leaving.

Oregon State kicked out of their hotel by the NCAA and told to get on a 1:15 am flight to Eugene after their loss.

South Carolina women eliminate Texas 62-34.

They do so by holding Texas scoreless for the entire 4th quarter.

Fewest points ever by a team in thewomens E8 round, first scoreless quarter in NCAA womens tournament history. (granted, quarters have only been around like five years now)

Weird first half of Michigan-UCLA. Johnny Juzang is presently 6-8 fg. Rest of the Bruins are 1-13. U of M playing with fire with all the turnovers right now.

Zags gonna roll either of these team if they play like this against them. Well, I think the Zags will roll through anyone this year.

Agree with that. Baylor has a chance, or even Michigan if they are playing well. But Gonzaga is fantastic even on an off night. If they're peaking, fughedaboudit.

This tournament is maybe the least impressive in terms of NBA-level talent that I've ever seen, but it's doing a great job of highlighting the college game.

UCLA is holding strong as best they can, but they're two big bodies they have each have four fouls. Their third post is 6'11, 180 (or so it seems)

You can't miss that many opportunities to get to the Final Four. Michigan deserved to lose, geez.

Heck of a run by UCLA. Four losses in a row coming into the tournament, and you can make an argument they shouldn't even have been in it. Fantastic - March Madness indeed.

Michigan points by game: 82, 86, 78, and 49. Never seen so many offensive fouls by a team as well as all the missed chances, something like eight in a row at the end and probably should have made at the least three of them. They won't sleep well.

Imagine 10 or 20 years ago, if you heard UCLA was playing Gonzaga in a Final Four game and Gonzaga was favored by 14 points. What a year it’s been.

It's crazy for sure... and finally getting to see the Zags play is quite a treat.

I know it's April 1, but I've seen multiple people reporting Roy Williams is retiring.

This should be an interesting job search. Did he have an heir apparent on staff? It wouldn't seem like Hubert Davis is ready for prime time yet.

It's amazing that Krzyzewski and Boeheim are still running full speed ahead and how many coaches they have outlasted. And Coach K. doesn't even have a gray hair on his head.

Surely he can milk the UNC opening for something extra out of Texas.

Coach K has "passed out" 26 times in the last, what, 3 seasons? I dont know if he's full speed ahead. And Im sure theres another Boeheim kid out there for Coach ILikeTheYoungTail to coach up.

True. They both seem 100% more crabby over the past few years, too.

I'm old enough to remember Roy Williams' Kansas teams. I was always annoyed when he left for UNC, as I rooted for Kansas in those matchups. But as has been mentioned, he's going to have company soon. A lot of the 'old guard' are going to be retiring soon.

Texas didn't have to give Chris Beard a raise. His contract is reported to be 7 years, $35 million.

I think we're going to see a lot of the old guard pushed out of coaching with the transfer portal and free transfer change that's coming.

Are you hearing anything good for us? Other than Bridges, and maybe now Gabe, I’m not sure I’d bet money on anyone coming back. It’s a shame. I think McBride could have been an all time great for us.

The last I heard was McBride is expected back unless he blows up in the pre draft stuff, Culver 60/40 returning, Taz 70/30 leaving, McNeil is probably 70/30 return, Thweatt probably 50/50 to transfer.

In a way I agree but I also remember Baylor was struggling(not playing like a top 2 team) a bit right before the tourny. If you throw late February/early March out the window Id be more in agreement.

A razor thin margin between being out of the tournament in the play-in game against Michigan St and playing in the National Championship tonight is proving. UCLA lost one of its better players for the year early on this year.
