Hey korme, what years should I start hitting for player headshots?

I've really only gotten probably 35-40 done, starting with the '46 starting rosters. I found it incredibly boring because of such slim name recognition. Pick a draft class and go from there, just let me know so we don't run over each other.

I enjoy the research & challenge of finding the old pictures, so I'd be happy to start back in that era.

Is there a file that lists all the historical players in the game database?

Suppose you could start the league using historical but normal debut in 2012 then immediately go and switch to random debut once the initial players are loaded but before running training camps. If you use a player file the game won't know that those players have appeared in the league already.

Historical DB does not contain contract info. Any contracts would be fictional.

Sent a guy to the DLG, next thing I know he isn't on my roster. When I find him, it says my team waived him. I didn't do this. Did the DLG team waive him?

Dawgfan has sent me through two new files re: historical team .csv files and historical logos and I've stuck them up on my site.

Using korme's files as their base, these will give you a logo with a coloured background that matches the team colour - ie. in other words the header bar on the team roster screen etc. will look like one seamless coloured bar including the logo. Looks pretty.

Wow thanks for these! my game is looking even more awesome now. It seems when the team csv is updated some players dont show up on the historical database on there teams like the San Diego Clippers or Tri-City Blackhawks havent checked for other teams yet.

Chaparrals and Floridians also seem to be affected.(This has been like this since the last time Ive updated the csv)

Is the ability to change DL Affliate with NBA Team in Game in future plans?

Theirs a way to get to S. Games in June thru September is create a League that play's it's Games in those months then all Offseason happenings in the NBA would happen at the same time but not seen only Draft if you own a Team.

Also need to report a huge bug : All FBCB players seem to enter with a 0 foul rating !

Should CPU teams play their D2D guys during the playoffs? I just faced a team with a guy out 9 days at the start of the series, he's averaging 26-12. After 2 games he was D2D but sat the whole series and got swept.

His name is not Derrick Rose though.

another thing bugging me: Players retire too late/don´t regress enough. Too many 40 year olds playing high level ball (sure the trend goes that way IRL, but not that much)

small thing: Is it possible to see where a player was drafted ? Could it be added to the achievement page ?

Mike Sweetney is the only guy who got rotation minutes who is a FA - a 2nd round pick, his 2 year contract ran out. We technically don't have his Bird Rights, but it's saying we can go over the cap and sign him for more than the minimum? Can anyone explain that one?

Just got a RTE 9 subscript out of range, viewing a player's achievements page. He has won awards at the NBDL level, so I went to sort by NBA only and the error popped up. I can send you the file if you can't recreate.

The way I was going to tackle it was just start at the '47 draft (after the '46 base was covered) and sort by potential of the draft class, and go down the list until it's clear guys are fictional.

You can go to Historical DB, and sort by year, but it mixes any player that played that year, so you'll run into the same player a bunch if you do it that way.

Also Trades happening in Draft/Top Players left on the Board for the Draft,Commentary on the picks/Rumors to Trades happening? Rumor Mill?

Has any computer control teams been sold and moved?

Also in League Editor DL has to be set to be affliated with NBA then like if somebody wanted to change bakersfield-Lakers to like Palm Springs Lakers because at the moment that field is blank under like Lakers Information.

How much over the Cap can you go ? If it´s just a little bit that could be explained by Early Bird Rights (by them you can sign a player for 175% of his last contract)

I sometimes like to play a pure GM role - hire coaches and sign/trade players, but let the coach set lineups and strategy. Would different coaches set up the lineups and strategy different ways, or does the AI just look at your team and set the best recommendations?

It would be cool if each coach had their own preferences as to how they want to play. I don't think this is in the game. Is it on your list?

I second this emotion. Really want to have hiring coaches be more a strategic/system based thing than just pure ratings if it's ever possible.

Sidenote to anyone: Is there an NBA coaches file anywhere? Is the college one portable to the pro game?

It is sort of in the game but I'd have to make some changes. Each coach does have their own preferences for strategy but for human teams they aren't used at all.

Count me in as one that would also like to see added. Have both fbcb and fbpb and am planning on coaching in my college game and just being GM in my NBA game.

Won't stop me from playing both if its not added but hopefully it wouldn't be hard thing to add a check box to let a human player choose to use the cpu coach's preferences.

Yeah me too. Would be nice to have a summary of a coaches strategy on the coach card too, so we could select a guy based on the strength's of our roster.
