FoxSportsWorld - Sheff vs Forest
I don't know how many caught this game but those soccer fans out there that missed it missed a classic match. Probably the best game I'd seen since the 2000 European Championship between France and Italy.
I was especially pleased to see the fans. I've *never* seen North American fans so passionate about a club team in any sport - national teams, yes, but not club teams. Men, women and children of all ages were rivetted with the action, singing, shouting, or silent in nervousness, burying their heads, crossing their fingers, exasperated, tense, etc. and when it was all said and done, crying in joy or in defeat. The atmosphere was amazing and I only wish I could have been there. If only all sports fans were this passionate... |

I've got a request for FSW... Less Soccer and a lot more Aussie Rules Football & Rugby.. (especially Aussie Rules)
I got a chance to check out some of the Hawthorne/Kangaroos Match last night, great stuff.. Only one Match a week and a 30 Minute Weekly AFL Highlight Show though? What's up with that FSW? By the way, I did check out the Highlights of the Sheffield-Forrest Match.. Unbelievable.. What a comeback by the Shefs.. Excellent Stuff..

Yes it was an excellent match full of emotion. If you missed it, you missed a classic.

If you missed it, it will be re-aired at some point. FSW does that a lot.

Kicking myself for not getting the digital tier with FSW.
My dad was a professor at Sheffield University when I was born, so I'm a huge Blades fan. Or at least as huge a one as you can find among those who don't know a thing about footie. Their road kit is Solecismic Yellow, too. I've got to find a shirt somewhere. |

I'm guessing Professor Gindin was a mid-70's dude with long side burns? -Classic Tony Currie era. If you ever wind up broke in a bar with a Sheffield United fan just tell him that you worshipped Tony Currie - free beer all the way. And if you want some nuts tell him you loved Alan Woodward as well. |
