That's a lot of vote shifting for any day, even day 1.

I'll check back in tomorrow, but voting for me isn't going to solve anyone's problems.

In trying to defend myself all I can say is that I've done nothing suspicious, a run started on me because clap voted me because he was pissed people didn't lynch me right away last game and then others piled on because they didn't want it to be a runaway on clap (which I never encouraged at all).

Hmm. I'd forgotten that I won't be in the office today. I might be back home by deadline, but I might not -- I have no idea. Anyway, I'm going to put in my real vote now, for J23. I know we were joking around earlier, but I didn't like how he made a comment about me getting us to lynch PB. It seemed like he was setting me up to take the blame for it early. He's also unvoted The Jackal to "keep it close" when The Jackal only had a one-vote lead -- so it was already close.

I actually hadn't refreshed before I hit it so I missed Jackal voting on you, so I had thought it was 4-2 when I unvoted, rather than 4-3. Either way, it doesn't really matter too much to me. With nothing to go on, it's a crapshoot regardless, so I guess I shouldn't hold it against you that I think your reasoning for voting for me is so tenuous.

Even for a day 1 vote, the voting/unvoting is pretty crazy at the moment. I wonder if the wolves are attempting to create confusion down the road?

For me the decision was between Clap and the Jackal out of the current candidates as I'd rather tie the vote up than make it a 4-2 race.

Well then I definitely stand by my vote then. I don't see Pass' actions as suspicious as others. He could very well be a wolf, but I don't think anything he has done has indicated that over someone else. And we definitely want a close vote for the records.

It's less that he's done anything suspicious and more that he's actually done something. All that vote moving stands out just because there's been very little other activity. I would generally say a wolf wouldn't draw attention to himself like that on day 1, but I'm not sure with Pass.

hmm, so not only is Danny wrong about the vote count, he thinks he is creating a tie with Jackal, who actually has only 1 vote when it actually is PAssacaglia on the line with Clap.

For some reason this reeks to me, seems like Danny is going for Clap, who is always an easy target while leaving Pass out of the picture, despite Pass actually being the leading vote getter.

Uh no, I was going by the most recent post that had a vote count where it was 3 for Pass and 2 a piece for Clap and the Jackal. I didn't realize Clap unvoted Jackal. So my decision was to tie the vote up and at that point choose between Clap and The Jackal. I was not going to make a vote which caused a two point separation

But it looks like you are trying to cause some suspicion of me when I am not in the conversation knowing I said I need to leave. You're not exactly on my trust list either which makes me feel a little better about Pass, at least until we know more.

Oh and please reread the post you quoted. I said I wanted to create a tie, so because of that, my options were the Jackal or Clap as I thought either of those candidates would create a tie with Pass.

It's Day 1.. you're not more trusted than anyone else, so it looks suspicious to me when votes move like that. First I was going to go for Clap since votes disappeared from him, but then they started piling up again. And I don't want to put Pass too far out in front, as you get better vote analysis when things stay close.

Well, clap unvoted me because he'd voted me for last-game purposes anyways. And Pass unvoted me because, well, he's voted/unvoted about 3 people - so, what looks suspicious about that? It's not like it was late movement trying to save me, or something. And I'm not suggesting a runaway on Pass, just a curious vote.

I honestly didn't analyze who unvoted and for what reason.. just saw the votes go up and then go down in my chart, and that caught my eye. And being Day 1 with little reason to vote anywhere in particular, that felt like a good enough reason to keep you in the running.

Right, you didn't look at reasonings. That's why I'm talking to you - if you don't have time, it's one thing, but basing things just on what's happened in the vote count isn't always useful.

But a 3 way vote leaves much more room for vote manipulation.

But a 3-way also gives you a better chance of having one of them being a wolf, which can help in future vote analysis.

Yeah I saw it as a choice between you, Pass, and clap. Maybe the vote movement meant nothing.. but it's something that caught my eye. And seeing as how it's Day 1 and I have no stronger reason right now to put my vote anywhere else, I see no reason to move it right now.
