Dodd gives us a good speed option in the slot, and Barnes and Monroe give us depth. Crayton will redshirt this year, unless we have some serious injury problems. Tight Ends, Grade: B- Samuel Johnson (RS Junior) - 6'3, 246 Lbs OVR: 82, SPD: 71, STR: 69, AWR: 80, CTH: 77, CAR: 68, BTK: 68, PBK: 59, RBK: 64 Derrell Humphrey (RS Sophomore) - 6'4, 246 Lbs OVR: 76, SPD: 77, STR: 56, AWR: 77, CTH: 78, CAR: 62, BTK: 54, PBK: 48, RBK: 56 Analysis: Sam Johnson had another solid year in 2005. LOL Being on the depth chart isnt necessarily a bad thing, as I've noticed the game gives credit for a redshirt year if a player doesn't play at all during the year. |

I believe is based on the average rating of the players on the team. Thus a team could have a lot of quality starters, but not much depth and be rated equal to a team that doesnt have starters who are as good, but has alot more depth. |

Post Game Coach's Thoughts
That was a great confidence building win for our program. We got off to a slow start, but as the game progressed we built up speed, and our superior depth shown through. All of our FOFCers made really solid contributions. Offense: We had trouble running the ball in the first half, but we did a nice job passing the ball, and we're able to pick up some mid range FGs which we might not have converted last year. In the second half the running game improved, and we were able to pick up some quality chunks of yardage, but I think we need to work on some new rushing plays. Only 1 interception thrown was a good sign as well. Defense: We had a good pass rush today and shut down their running game, but our pass defense was not strong. At times we bent, but we never broke and we're able to convert some turnovers directly into points. Special Teams: We made all our kicks, we didn't have to punt, and we brought a punt back for a TD. All in all, a good game. Grades QB: B+ RB: B+ WR: A TE: A OL: A- DL: A+ LB: A DB: C Sp. Teams: A |

This game is our 1st of several big tests in the 2006 campaign. We're coming off of a great confidence building win over Miami of Ohio, but today is a whol new game. Post Game Coach's Thoughts
Georgia came into ouR hoUse and we did what we had to do. We had a solid but not spectacular running game going. We threw the ball well with a couple of deep shots down field and no interceptions, and we turned turnovers into points. Throw in some nice work by our punt and kick cover teams and you have the recipe for a win over a Top 25 foe. Offense: Herron is really looking great in his early season action. Facyson isn't running the ball as well as he did last year or even 2 years ago when he was the backup, but we haven't given him the ton of carries that we need to get a RB into the groove. Dan York is a very good backup HB, and will most likely get the starting nod next year. John Galt has emerged as the go to receiver, but we need to work Josh Hendricks into the starting lineup much more. Defense: Our secondary didn't perform up to expectations. We gave up way too much passing yardage, no matter who our opponent was. Our DLine and LBs did a good job of containing the run and pressuring the QB for the most part. Special Teams: Adam Slaughter did a good job of punting the ball where our kick coverage team could prevent Georgia from running the ball at all. Apollo made all the kicks we asked him to make, but I'm not sure if he has the leg to be the full time kick off guy. I'm gonna give Slaughter a shot to do the job against Iowa, at least for the 1st half. Grades QB: A+ RB: B WR: A TE: B+ OL: B DL: A LB: A DB: C Sp. Teams: A |
