Something similar happened last week when trying to link to a Gawker site. I guess the takeaway is "don't do that any more." I'll fix it right now.

Oh, and to clarify, it's something with the HTML/Javascript that borks the ability to read the thread at all. Even with the top Admin rights that I have, I can't delete/edit these posts from the front end of vbulletin, so the only option is to go into the database that holds all of the post data that vBulletin uses to display threads and posts, and delete the reference to that post.

Since I suspect I might not be the ONLY person who didn't realize just how wide the tentacles of that brand actually are. Per Wiki, that would include

Deadspin – Sports
Gizmodo – Gadget and technology lifestyle
Jalopnik – Cars and automotive culture
Jezebel – Celebrity, sex, and fashion for women
Kotaku – Video games and East Asian pop culture
Lifehacker – Productivity tips

And that lists matches the issues I've seen us have here in the past few days, I know there's been a borked Deadspin link and I think 1-2 of the others as well.

"Gawker" sold off all of its assets, other than the name of the main site, to Univision. The collection of former-Gawker sites (which Jon lays out - there were many verticals) now operates under the Gizmodo Media Group banner. Fusion is also tied to this now and runs off the Kinja platform (as does The Root).
