Gamestop has 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa game for PS3 and 360 for $40. Use NEW15 for -15% off coupon, and it comes to $34 with free shipping using coupon code SAVER.

So 33.99 + sales tax depending on your state.

God damn it, Gamestop's website is the biggest pile of shite I have ever seen. I've now tried to use it twice (last time for the MLB2k10 deal) and twice it's taken a huge dump all over my keyboard. This time won't even let me add anything to the cart without erroring out.

I can't imagine how much business they must lose because of this. Or maybe they just have something against me

I like the Ultimate Team mode which I believe isn't in World Cup.

EA's World Cup games have always had weird lil gimmicky things to them too...power-up shots and stuff.

At least...the last one I played did...back in 2002 I believe.

I haven't found anything gimmicky in this year's version. I'm actually enjoying it more than this year's edition of FIFA.

How is the dynasty mode/ be a pro mode for FIFA 10? Really getting an itch to dig in to the game and make a purchase, regardless if FIFA 11 comes out in August

It's the second. It's pretty much the same as 09 IIRC. You get 4 seasons, and that's it so it's not that great. The dynasty mode this year added manager prestige which made it nearly impossible to sign stars even if you're at a big club, which really killed me. I always like to have 2 dynasties, 1 where I'm a smaller club and building it up, another where I'm a big club just signing all the best players. Since they can't seem to figure out how to make Inter's unis right, I opted for Barcelona, and couldn't sign anyone worthwhile. FIFA 10 got pretty much no playtime from me this year though. I was pretty disappointed in it.

Could that be a difficulty level issue? I played a manager mode with Bayern Munich and was bringing in studs.

This is a classic example of EA just making a buck without doing anything. I mean really? Why can't every version have the stupid world cup stuff in it?

I do think that FIFA WC 2010 should not be a full priced game and that ideally FIFA 10 would have all of the World Cup content in it already. However, there are enough gameplay improvements in FIFA WC 2010 that I find it hard to go back to playing FIFA 10 even though I do miss the club teams on occasion.

I got it for $42 on release day from EA when they ran a sale a bit before and I preordered it.

While I agree it really should just be an expansion of the regular FIFA game, If i can pick up both for ~90 it will be well worth it. When it comes down to hours logged good sports games are pretty much impossible to beat for value.
