Am I the only person who only watches TruTV for the NCAA tournament games?

I don't say it with any pleasure, I wish to hell the Vols had more depth / more interior presence. If they did, they could get hot & make a serious run.

Alas, they don't. And I just don't see that happening, no matter how likable Williams & Schofield are.

I'll admit, I didn't get to watch the game. Had a long day on a college tour, got home and forgot about it. Very happy to report that the Bison will get first crack at taking down the Blue Devils. Go Bison!

My bracket has little option but to improve.
Currently sitting in the 7th percentile on ESPN.

14th percentile here.

The good news I have only lost one of my sweet sixteen teams. Huge improvement over this point last year.

Good day for the Big Ten. Maryland could easily have lost, but that's more first-round wins already (5) than they had teams in the tournament (4) last year.

I haven't seen anyone picking NDSU over Duke today?

LOL

In all seriousness, at this point, the school and team are celebrating the coverage of the school. This will be the most watched NDSU sporting event in history. That's something, after 7 national football championships, this is the biggest event in school history, and one with no pressure, and no expectation of a result. It's just a party day all the way around.

So not even you are picking NDSU? I think you have the right mindset-enjoy the experience and consider it a victory if the game isn't over by halftime. Make Duke at least earn the win. Good luck to the Bison!

NDSU should put their football O-line out there to stop any drives to the basket

I'd even take a couple of them, let us play 7 v 5 and see what happens.

Oh, and our local college, NKU, which is about 10 minutes up the road, can't get any major local news coverage, even though they are in the tournament once again. Good luck to the Norse today too!

It's really time to move back the 3 point line when offensively-challenged Syracuse and Baylor combine to hit the most 3-pointers in a regulation NCAA tournament game in history.

They were really close despite playing like total crap. Tech made some good adjustments and settled down in the 2nd half like they were expected to. Still a good showing for the local team.

UT-Colgate is kinda weird.

Colgate big man, conference player of the year, 0/4 with 0 points. Yet they're only down 12 and have been competitive for all but a couple of runs (9-0 to start and then and 18-5 run that they answered with an 8-0 of their own).

Colgate big guy STILL hasn't scored ... and the UT lead is down to 1.

Is Rick Barnes gonna Rick Barnes?

Barnes nearly Barnes'ed it. Weird game.

And to my surprise UVA finally figured it out.

12-5 at the first break. Stop the game and call it for NDSU.

Yep, they have to hang on, 'cause it's gonna get rough in the second half, but they've done very well tonight.

wow Liberty with a shocker over Miss State. Good night for former/current Big South teams with Gardner-Webb and Liberty. And now #16 seed Iona is ahead of #1 North Carolina by 5 at the half. Crazy day for the tourney.

Great first round. Cant wait for these weekend games.

Iowa stunned me. But they have to play like they did in the 2nd half the entire game.

Was a pedestrian 10-6 yesterday in my picks.

There is still one perfect bracket left in the CBS game.

Conversely, my women's bracket that I had less confidence in than any previous year, 15/16 on day one including all three lower seeds that won. My only miss was a 10/7 that didn't happen. Having said that I figure I'll go 8-8 today lol.
