DC - I cut two guys but the game is not letting me spend my cap room. Can you work your magic?

If you have any friends that might want to join SLOP, this might be a good time to invite them. OOTP experience isn't required, obviously. It's just fast-sim. But you should ping some folks and see...low-key and all that.

SLOP's first 300-game winner Jonathon Redick will retire. Charlie Taylor, the 43-year old wunderkind is still going strong at Age 43 and is closing in on his own 300th win this upcoming year.
I think we're going to rename the MVP/H award after Ed Saunders after his 799 career HRs. And the POY award after Charlie Taylor who is a Hall of Fame still playing at Hall of Fame levels well into his mid-40s which is insane. He's only won this award once but...I think it's really about recognizing the pioneers rather than it being about "the best player of all-time." We'll leave the defender award and ROY award as they are for now. |

I keep getting a date of 11/10 when I try to download the file in-game. Is that correct?

I didn't get a new file today when I checked for new files.
You uploaded one late last night, no? Did anybody else have problems getting the new file today? |

Make sure that if you haven't downloaded and installed the newest version of OOTP, you do so now.

If you were having game download file problems, please download now. It appears that I didn't have the newest file in the right place. (My mistake.) I just checked now. This is what I get for doing things late when I'm sleepy.

I'm still having trouble uploading the file, even after using the new OOTP update as well as the new game file.

Nevermind, fixed it by going in and reloading the account_gms.dat file inside of the game.
Let me know if you have my upload. Thanks! |

So glad to see the FFP signing bonus auction going so well this first year. Wabash Warriors SP Dave Ribic is now up to $27m signing bonus. The bidding period ends with tomorrow night's deadline. I wonder how much higher this will go. So fun.

The latest OOTP update separated pitcher/hitter dev. I didn't realize this, but that's why we had so many STREP kids developing so fast. I've modified this, so things should go back to normal with those guys not being so filled out so fast, that wasn't the intent. Just so you know...

DC - my stupid owner is denying my final 7 mill in cap room. Not sure why, but can you help? I have a few more spots to fill....
Thanks!

I think it's good that you can use your unused cap space.

INDalltheway is taking over Chicago this upcoming year. He was a FOOL guy back in original days and it's good to see him back in the fast-sim fold.

Hey guys, glad to be a part of the league! Best way to get a hold of me is through PMs here on FOFC. I am looking forward to turning the Chicago Hornets around.

Random question about players current ratings above their potentials - is this normal? and for younger guys does this mean they've taken talent hits or they are over achieving?

In the future we won't see this with younger players are quickly. It was a dev mistake that when they changed the dev settings in the new version and ours weren't modified to note the new alterations. So you should see less developed youngsters at a young age in the future. As for guys playing over their heads, I think that's happening because we used to be a league FULL of stars and now, we have this distinct class of stars and then there's a huge mid-tier of players and so, the game is probably adapting those guys up to keep up with things. It has been a relatively consistent trend lately. We use OOTPOU to track development and you can login with the default password of baseball. I need to add your name to the game, but you can still login using Morgan's ID for now (I'll reset his password to the default.) |
