Total Extreme Wrestling 2007/2008...
I'm strongly considering picking one of these two up. I grew up watching the WWF/WCW, and I use to play TNM 7 religiously way back in the day. TEW looks like a much more beefed up version with many more immersive qualities to it. Right now I'm leaning towards the 2007 version, just because the DOTT mod doesn't seem to be getting off the ground for the 2008 version. I'm having some major issues finding a working link to download the DOTT mod for 07 though, since the link in the gray dog forum seems to be dead. I also read something saying the elicense doesn't work on an x64 OS? How are people here getting FOF to work on x64 then? Any advice/help is greatly appreciated.

If you read molson's dynasty, it will be difficult not to purchase.

I would suggest searching here for mods/pics/etc. for TEW:
TEW07 Downloads The link is for TEW07 but there are links on the side for 08 as well. I have both TEW 07 and 08 and like both. I have been playing the beta DOTT for 08 and really like it, but some of the new things with 08 can be frustrating. Like the limit on the number of same matches that can be held within a 6 month time period (over the limit, your matches will suffer a rating hit, if the match doesn't improve on the match rating (something like that). Makes for running some of the canned DOTT angles (which I like to do) more difficult. One thing I really like about 08 is that you now see the results from other promotions, including their angles (which sometimes helps me with my own angles).

How playable is the beta DOTT for 08? I'm still torn on which one to get now. If I get 08 and use the beta now, will I be able to import the finished/polished version once it comes out without having to restart the entire career?

The DOTT mod for 08 is very playable. The new features in 08 make it a must buy over 07 IMO. 08 is the biggest upgrade in the series IMO.

You would have to start over however you might want to mess around a couple of times to get used to the new features anyway. The computer AI in the version is more advanced and it is easy to have your company fall apart on you if you make mistakes. |

Very playable, though like Bergey said you would have to start anew. The guys that took this over have done a great job and it fits in very well with the new features. I am just starting a new dynasty with the latest release and am quite happy with the way it flows..... Rick Rude has tested positive for steroids already though and is on his final warning. |
