Just watched Giant the other day. I didn't realize she was 79, I thought she was older.

Same here. I remember she was on Dynasty and she looked like she was in her 50s then and that was 30ish years ago.

There are some amazing pictures of her.

She's always kind of been an enigma to me - she left true megastardum a long time ago, before I was old enough to generally know what was going on in the world (1985ish). I've never seen her in a movie, never seen her on a talk show, and I have hardly any conscious 1st-hand memories of her at all. But she was such a huge deal in a time when there weren't thousands of huge deals like today.
