I don't see a whole lot of purpose in either the public or private poll at this point but:

1. Racer
2. jeheniz

PUBLIC POLL
1) jeheinz

2) Clap
3) ntndeacon
4) Racer
5) BK

I'm voting in order of PPs since it doesn't really matter.

I'm wondering a bit about the jeheinz votes. The last thing a detractor would want to do is win his conference -- especially by a large margin. They've got to be the top 2nd place team to win the game. IF jeheinz is a detractor, we non-wolves are better off if he runs away with the title.

What we should collectively be looking for are folks in the conferences that seem to be vying to grab second place.

Rumours from South Bend indicate that new coach Alan T has instituted his gameplan for longterm success. Teams from across the country are being recruited to join a new Catholic Conference, whose headquarters would lie in South Bend, chaired by Alan T himself. Word is that the Irish are in talks with several coaches, and as many as 3 major powers could be "converting" to the Catholic Conference. Financial experts speculate that in order to succeed in establishing the conference, the money provided by the BCS to the at-large team would be required.

Starting now, when a scout throws the game, he must specify if he wants to learn whether or not the team he's scouting is a Catholic, or a detractor.

To clarify this: A team can not be a Catholic AND a detractor. If you throw your game to scan someone, you also need to tell me what you're looking for. For example, "I want to find out if Passacaglia is Catholic" or "I want to find out if Passacaglia is a detractor."

Conf.#2 has now had everyone take exactly 10 pts of sabotage, as ntndeacon was victimized last night.

So clearly they're willing to hit their own. The question is was this true from the start or more forced on them by their continuing to hit multiple targets each day?

Sabotage report: BK, Lathum, Anxiety, Svdvls, and ntndeacon were hit by the wolves. jeheinz got his by a -15 penalty, meaning a conference saboteur got him.

The -10 the wolves gave to Lathum firmed up Molson's bid on the #2 spot in my conference. Given that RendeR cleared Lathum and that I think Path is clean, Molson being #2 in my conference is a very bad thing.

Has any seer scanned Molson?

Just a reminder that conferences need to submit to me a name, conference schedule, and tiebreaker rules by the end of Day 4 (Friday 2 PM Central).

Since finishing 2nd in the conference is what the wolves want, hitting their own not only helps them by confusing us -- he opposition -- it can move them deftly down from 1st place in the conference to 2nd.

I have a preliminary idea who the detractor in conference #2 is, but the problem is that all my scans have lost that day, so if the seer detractor is in that conference my scans are poo-poo.

If you scanned me on day 2, I've avowedly used the thrown game to alter the result of the sanctions. Just an FYI. (And I was the only one from #2 to lose on day 2.)

Those players lost yesterday. Two of them are avowed scouts - one of the others is, I think, obviously a saboteur. I'm not sure if a good saboteur would go after jeheinz or not. The wolves look to have targeted 2nd place teams yesterday.

Simply on the theory that he has the largest lead over the last place team in his conference of anyone, and it might be to our advantage to make that gap closer.

We are Notre Dame are sensitive towards Indian tribes that are classlessly used as sports mascots. Even though the Chesapeake tribe has likely been destroyed for 300+ years, I feel that their memory should be preserved. Thus:
