I would bet that while there is some overlap there is also some uniqueness to the powers. We elementals are at a disadvantage with seemingly no BG or seer to help us.

As far as your question, I'd bet we all have similar ones we can use at different times. For instance my Yak power may be your Trout power.

I actually think there are probally 10-12 different powers at least and some that are the same. given what my powers are and when they can be used.

I'm not so sure it's a good idea to let the avatars know what our abilities are.

I agree. I almost hinted at one of my powers above and decided even that wasn't a good move. But I think that is for selfish reasons (I don't want the Avatars to target me).

I'm not sure there is value either. But it does present one of those interesting scenarios where there is pressure on the minority group to figure out how to fit in with the majority group.

There are a ton of ways to apply pressure to the minority group in a game of werewolf. I'm wondering what people think about the risk/reward of doing it in this manner for this particular game.

Personally, I'm fairly comfortable posting on my capabilities, with a smidgen of discretion. I would expect that this makes a lot of sense to an elemental who is reading this post, if their PM looks like mine.

10-12 sounds like an awful lot. I'd think fewer but with different restrictions on when they could be used.

My abilities all seem to be pretty generic werewolf abilities, with some slight modifications.

To clarify something brought up in PM by a player...

You do not lose all your powers when you activate the one eligible for a given day. You only lose that specific one.

I wouldn't say that's a lot if we are to assume there are 3 Avatars that leaves 12 of us elementals. you figure you share at least two different "powers" with at least on other person (that alone is 12) and everyone has 4. I don't think that's a bad assumption at all.

if there are only 12 total powers with 12 people then you would share your power with 4 people. not a large leap there either.

Checking in and excited to get back into some WW.

Based on my own, I'm guessing that most everyone got some sort of modest/unique power. I'm not sure how helpful mine will be, but I guess it could help down the road.

No, it's a 12/12 clock. Since we want this done before xmas, we can't do 24 hour turns. Day runs 9am to 9pm, PM your night actions from 9pm to 9am.

Well Pass is the only one who hasn't checked in. But I'm not about to jinx myself in the BCS game. I'll vote for the guy who fooled me big time last game and can be a dangerous player

I would say that the theory is not valid, though it has been the case that sometimes a wolf places the first second vote on somebody, just as we would expect.

By this I mean that sometimes the wolf would be the first person to place a vote, sometimes not. Doing so does not seem either inherently wolfish or villagerish.

Frankly, it seems like this comes up every time and we never have a resolution to it. But I'm getting a vote in early for once:

VOTE PURDUEBRAD

Spending time with kids? Bah!

OK, so today feels even more random than most Day 1's in my opinion. From what I just read there doesn't seem to be even an effort made to justify the randomness of the votes.
