The new file is up!

For whatever reason, the game still decided to schedule the draft for this offseason...

So make sure to set your draft lists for this draft. I don't have a way to cancel it. I'll have to figure out the draft thing this offseason. Sorry for the confusion!

I hope everyone has a good weekend, we'll do Arbitration and the draft monday morning. If you see any issues with draft picks not working right for your team, please say so over the weekend and I'll clean it all up again this season.

See, now you've got me curious. Some candidates here:

1B Eichiro Nemoto, CON 10, GAP 7, POW 10, EYE 6, K 8, SSR 211. That contact and power would sure go nice in my park, but the eye and speed are a bit low for "best prospect ever". He's pretty much a DH as his only fielding is a "3" at 1B.

3B Eric Hinton, CON 8, GAP 10, POW 8, EYE 7, K 9, SSR 8/11/8. Nice all-around package, but the CON and POW are lower than Nemoto. Do the speed, EYE, and K make up for that?

LF Eric Warren, CON 7, GAP 11, POW 9, EYE 7, K 6, SSR 444. CON a touch low, but that GAP could be huge in some of the larger parks.

RF Matsudaira Ohayashi, CON 8, GAP 11, POW 7, EYE 6, K 7, SSR 589. Eh, I mean a good hitter, but not in the category Alan is talking about.

So is Alan talking about the DH Nemoto who will never field, or the better all-around player in Hinton? Is he referring to Nemoto's bad eye, or wishing Hinton had a touch more power?

If I was still in a DH league, I think I might take Nemoto, but in this league I'd probably prefer Hinton for helping me win.

Ooo, almost forgot SS Esteban Ibarria, CON 8, GAP 8, POW 2, EYE 6, K 11, SSR 9/10/11, studly fielder. He won't hit homers, but what a leadoff man!

I'll comment after the draft. I did say that I thought the hitter class was pretty strong in this draft though. I'll say next week which one I liked the best however

I'll definitely be curious, as I always learn something in these discussions. But yes there are some very good hitters in this class.

thanks for the congrats guys...i really thought i was going to go down to spring before the playoffs started. I guess the bats woke up after the no hitter and shutout thrown against them in the final games of the season
