OT: I'm With Stupid #68 Results

1. What NFL team will select first in the 2005 draft?

Going by the time-honored IWS tradition of sticking with the status quo, San Diego was the people's choice by a wide margin.

San Diego Chargers 20
Arizona Cardinals 9
Chicago Bears 1
San Francisco 49ers 1
Detroit Lions 1
Atlanta Falcons 1

2. Name an NBA player who is not a U.S. citizen.

With the second round of the playoff in full swing during this IWS, I would have expected somebody in the limelight right now to win the question, like Stojakavic or Parker. But it's Yao Ming who takes this question.

Yao Ming 15
Dirk Nowitski 5
Peja Stojakavic 4
Tony Parker 2
Steve Nash 2
Tim Duncan 2
Darko Milicic 1
Vlade Divac 1
Rasho Nesterovic 1

3. Name a singer or band that could be termed a "One Hit Wonder".

This one took a while to sort itself out. Vanilla Ice just ended up edging out Macarena's Los Del Rio for the top spot.

Vanilla Ice 7
Los Del Rio 6
Right Said Fred 4
Baha Men 2
Dexy's Midnight Runners 2
Chumbawumba 2
Achy Breaky Heart 1
Soft Cell 1
Devo 1
MC Hammer 1
Lou Bega 1
Toni Basil 1
Local H 1
Don McLean 1
House Of Pain 1
Men Without Hats 1

4. Besides maple, name a flavor of pancake syrup.

The answer was a fruit, but which fruit did you choose? Blueberry and Strawberry were the runaway favorites, with Blueberry getting a late surge to take the question.

Blueberry 14
Strawberry 11
Apple 2
Fruit 1
Raspberry 1
Chocolate 1
Blackberry 1
Plain 1
Boysenberry 1

5. How many hours of television do you watch per week?

The dreaded pick a (round) number question. 10 hours a week was the favorite.

10 11
20 6
25 4
15 3
5 2
30 2
35 1
50 1
28 1
2 1
40 1

6. Who is the ugliest celebrity?

This one was all over the board, as expected, and it took a while before I even saw a match. The favorite answer, and most likely the "correct" answer, is Michael Jackson.

Michael Jackson 5
Steve Buscemi 3
Britney Spears 2
Julia Roberts 2
William Hung 2
Sandra Bernhardt 2
Roseanne 2
Tom Petty 1
Howard Stern 1
Sarah Jessica Parker 1
Courtney Love 1
Gary Busey 1
Christina Aguilera 1
Carrot Top 1
Janet Jackson 1
Rupert from Survivor 1
Steven Tyler 1
Lyle Lovett 1
Billy Bob Thornton 1
Marilyn Manson 1
Vegas Vic 1
Ron Perlman 1

Sorry about that. I'll fix that when I get home.

Dammit, forgot to send in my picks. Oh well, probably wouldn't have won anyways. I watch waaaay to much TV to have guessed 10 hours and for some reason I was going to pick Dirk instead of Yao. I'm a bad, bad Rockets fan... :o

I have never even seen blue berry syrup outside of an IHOP. I thought it would be a toss up between Boysenberry and Strawberry, with Boysenberry coming out on top. I forgot to send my picks in. I was having trouble thinking of a good one hit wonder.

FWIW, researching for my answer, I googled it and the current average for an american citizen is 4 hours and 20 something minutes per day, which comes out at around 30 per week.
