Ooh! I got the most intriguing player in the draft, SS Johnny Miller. He is a high CON, high EYE, low POW, good glove SS. This is a pretty valuable and useful set of skills. He is a .300+ AVG, .400+ OBP guy who might also develop into a GG talent at the most important defensive position on the field.

That alone doesn't make him different from what we normally get, though, as we see a guy like that at least once every two drafts and maybe more.

No, what makes him intriguing is that, were he to hit his pitching potentials, he might be the best reliever in baseball. And he's listed as a SS first.

I'm in for a tough decision, and I need to make it now because his development officially starts with the next sim.

I say really roll the dice and make him a right fielder.

You can always backtrack and make him a CL if the bat doesn't develop like it should. Going the other way is a lot more difficult.

I did consider him with my pick but I need SP so bad it hurts.

I am leaning that way. My first two supplemental picks went to MRs, and if I am looking at the draft list, they were the top two relievers (top two who were shown as relievers, that is). So I have a lot of relief talent in the system now.

I had my eye on him too... Enough so that i flagged him so i could chase him via trade after the draft.

I love the two way guys. Although he is TOO good to play both ways. I have a guy in SLOP that is my utility IF and setup man. He gets 200ab,s and 50ip.
Its like playing with a 26man lineup!
But your guy is too good for that. He'll only get 1 or 2 appearances a year as a pitcher if he's in your starting lineup.

I didn't know he could get any, actually. It seems like whenever I try to put a guy in a lineup and in the pitching staff at the same time, he either does one or the other. So I never went two way with anyone for fear that he was in a critical role somewhere and I needed him to play.
