Another oil rig explosion in the Gulf of Mexico

Just got an AP update on my phone, so I don't know all the details but it's apparently west of the BP explosion. No word on if there was an oil leak from the explosion but apparently no one died.

Rescue efforts under way after oil rig explosion in Gulf – This Just In - CNN.com Blogs
Posted at 11:43 a.m.] U.S. Coast Guard Petty Officer Bill Colclough tells CNN that all 13 workers involved in the rig explosion are accounted for, but one person is injured.

Coast Choppers are on the way to the site 80 miles south of Vermilion Bay.

[Posted at 11:33 a.m.] An oil rig has exploded 80 miles off the coast of Louisiana, with 12 people overboard and one missing, the Coast Guard said Thursday morning.

Rescue attempts are under way for at least 12 people, Coast Guard spokesman John Edwards told CNN. 13 people were on board the rig total, Edwards said, noting 12 have been accounted for, but one person was missing.

The accident took place 80 miles off the coast of Louisiana on the Vermilion Oil rig 380, which is owned by Houston-based Mariner Energy.

I'll use this thread instead of mine, but apparently, things aren't as rosy as first reported.

All 13 people have been reported rescued, I hear, but:

The Coast Guard is saying that a mile-long oil sheen is spreading from the site off an offshore petroleum platform that exploded in the Gulf of Mexico off Louisiana.

I have a feeling we will start seeing a bunch of unfounded accusations of sabotage flying soon (because, frankly, if I were an oil company- that would be the doubt I'd want to be causing).

Update, apparently the sheen and burning is only what was in storage, the limiters on the seven wells at the site worked as planned, and there's nothing leaking from the wells.
