cartman's FOFC College Football Top 25 Poll, Week 11 open for voting
What a wild weekend of college football. I can't remember another time when 4 of the top 7 teams lost, with another only winning by one. The next poll should look substantially different than this one.

Poll submissions are due in by 6pm Central, Thursday Nov. 16th. I plan to get the results posted prior to the West Virginia-Pitt game.

I know that in the past sometime's there has been a lock on the last week a new pollster can enter...is that true this year or is it not too late for me?

Aren't Top 25 polls based on performance, not so much speculation?

Not exactly. To me, you are balancing who has earned a certain ranking against who you think is the flat out better team. There is definitely opinion/speculation involved.

In fact, in the case of Boise State there is a lot of speculation involved as they don't play many quality teams. I don't know if they've really earned a top 15 ranking, but I think they could hold their own against the teams in that range of 11-20 or so.

My main contention for having Boise State ranked high is their butt-whuppin' of Oregon State, a team that beat USC. I don't necessarily put a lot of stock in close conference games, since these are usually rivalry games, and teams that are familiar with each other are more likely to have close games than teams that rarely play each other. But that's just my reasoning.
