I wanted to start up a new dynasty (and eve a new thread) and launched a new league in PureSim baseball, using the newest release, v1.1.

I made it through the initial dispersal draft, have a team stakced with talent, and have something liek 1/3 of my original budget remainign unspent. I am very worried that this is going to be a complete waste of time. Plus, for the second time in two games (including CM4) I find that the game includes no functionality to print anything out... leaving me totally stuck without any easy way to enhance a dynasty thread in either game.

Has anyone had good results with PureSim? I really, really want to like this game. I'm hoping that it's redeemable in some way. Any good news?

Auto-sim through like 4 seasons and see how the budgets play out. I've found they even out over that time to my liking, but I'm not sure that it'll be to your liking. But the real problems come when players can reach the free agent market.

From what I've seen, salaries at first are a little low due to lack of any stats. Also, after years of free agency, the salaries get pushed up as well, since they are giving more than their base worth.

I agree with Barkeep. Sim through like 4 or 5 seasons and the budgets should stabalize.

Thanks for the tips. I'll be out of town with my laptop in a few days - I might have some time to run the thing then, and see how it works out.
