Pats vs. Saints

I rarely make predictions, and (full disclosure) I grew up in Mass, but I just had a vision...

Pats 38 Saints 27

Call Vegas, call your bookie.. I saw it!

I'm just happy I'm a fan of a team that some people pick over a team like the Saints. Lots of Pats fans are spoiled, I'm still enjoying the ride.

Looking forward to tonight.

Both of the Saints starting corners are out which is going to make slowing down the Pats offense very difficult.

Will be hard for the Saints to stop the Pats tonight with the Saints missing the two starting CBs. Pats by 10. If the Saints win tonight, it will mean something big for the Saints. If they lose, it won't mean the end of the world, this defense is much better with Porter or Greer playing, even moreso with both in there obviously.

You're saying "wowsers" to people picking a 10-0 team to win at home? I don't see that as anything remarkable.

Alex the Great is a pretty cheap player. Glad he got hurt. Of course, the NHL will do nothing (along with Crosby).

Pats defer to the 2nd half...standard sorta decision by them...let the Saints take the ball first too while the crowd settles in

TD Maroney

Pats ran and ran and ran. Maroney looking good, and Sammy Morris being back will be a big help.

Paper mache run defense on that drive. Great drive for the Pats. Saints will have to worry about the run game as well as the pass game it appears.

Gotta love aggessive coaching.

I cringed the other day when North Carolina played conservative and kicked a FG to go up 6. Of course NC st came back with a TD. Being up 3 and 6 isnt much difference in a college game as the FG kickers arent real accurate. So dumb conservative coaching cost the Heels.

Im not cheering for the Pats out of spite for the Saints. I am cheering for the Pats because I want that home turf advantage and I dont see the Saints losing too many more on their schedule.

Anyone else think a holding call is too harsh in the NFL? The 10 yards pretty much stalls a drive and most holding calls are questionable at best because pretty much every play it could be called.

In college it seems fine because offenses seem more capable of getting out of that 1 and 20 hole.

Punt returns are going to be interesting for the Saints - pretty much everyone who had ever returned a punt before last week are out.

Saints left the right gunner (18-Aiken?) wide open on that punt. Wonder if the Pats will try to take advantage of that.

Yea, doesn't get more blown in coverage than that.

Biggest smile on my face so far though: Mike Mckenzie. Great, great guy who does a lot of charity work. (Can be seen on the new play 60 commercial with Obama.) Every team including the Saints gave up on him after surgery, but he comes in off the street and after less than a week of work looks as good as ever. I hope he keeps it up, what a great story.
