RIP Ursula K LeGuin

One of my favorite (of many) Fantasy authors.

Beloved Fantasy Author Ursula Le Guin Dead At 88 | HuffPost

THe Wizard of Earthsea trilogy was simply amazing.

And photos of her made me think she was a legit fantasy witch.

Maybe I should give Wizard of Earthsea another try-don't remember now why I never made it through the first book. She was one of the very best female fantasy writers out there along with the dearly missed Anne McCaffrey. RIP Ursula.

Those are fighting words! Love Lackey's Valdermar books.

RIP.

Earthsea was one of the very first fantasy series I read, even before LOTR.

Really interesting and sometimes provocative thinker... well beyond a novel here and a fantasy story there. Big Deal person.

I liked, a lot, The Left Hand of Darkness and consider it one of the top 20 Sci Fi books of all time. Maybe Top 10 I'd have ot think.

I can't think of 10 better that I have encountered, so yes, Left Hand is, to my mind, one of the ten best SF novels of all time.
