I have not been really interested in anything on the field this season, but all of these off the field power plays has been fascinating.

Dallas Cowboys' Jerry Jones among owners trying to hijack Roger Goodell's proposed contract extension

If they are trying to imitate MLB, which owner is going to be the next commissioner?

Games in England are so messed up they've made the Browns and Vikings appear entertaining.

Dear CBS announcers,

The Bengals are playing the Indianapolis Colts, not the Indianapolis Caults.

The Bears game just reinforced the fact that no one knows what the hell a catch is anymore.

In retrospect, the Bengals have still not recovered from the Pitt playoff game.

Dunlap hopefully flipped momentum a little there. Lets get them now these are the fucking Colts.

I didnt think it was possible to shred the Seahawks defense like Watson is doing to them today.

Well, isn't Seattle supposed to have a great defense?

They are getting carved up in this game.

Top 10 defense instead of top 5 defense like in years previous Id say. Watson is just amazing. He is showing arm strength I didnt think he had from watching him in college. He is the quarterback Al Davis always tried to draft and failed.

So the Redskins have no timeouts, down by a touchdown, less than a minute left and their two plays are a wide receiver screen in which he has no chance of getting out of bounds and then what was going to be a dunk to a receiver 5 yards beyond the line over the middle.

I think Cousins may have cost himself some money in that game. The Skins receivers aren’t great but I just don’t think he’s the kind of QB you want to max out. Too inconsistent and not good enough at pushing the ball down the field when needed.

In other random thoughts, its pretty impressive that Roethlisberger has made hundreds of millions in his career and that he still cuts his hair himself.

I think hes a 10-15 range QB but his WRs this year are just awful. Thompson the 3rd down back is their top offensive weapon. I think Pryor was a success built upon the Browns having nothing else so he piled up useless yards in garbage time. After that you have Doctson(dropped a ball downfield early in the game) and Crowder(a guy drafted as a return man). All of that with a makeshift offensive line makes things very difficult for Cousins right now.

Trent Williams, Spencer Long, and Brandon Scherff didn't play at all today. Shaun Lauvao didn't finish. The only regular starting OL today was Morgan Moses and he's playing on two sprained ankles. Jordan Reed and Niles Paul got hurt again. The Redskins can't run even when they're healthy. He's got 1 legit WR and a good receiving RB as his only 2 consistent targets right now. It was also a freaking downpour most of the game.

He still completed 66.7% of his passes and didn't get picked off until the final play of the game.

So the Rams get rid of Fisher and are now leading the division with one of the best offenses in the NFL while his original starting QB from that final team is leading the NFL North winning 5 games in a row.

Apparently severe arterial damage on Zach Miller's dislocated knee injury yesterday. Vascular surgeons trying to save his leg.

Sucks about Miller. It was taped before that news came out so I didn't feel particularly bad laughing at the PFTCommenter line of Miller "needing to complete the rehab process while holding onto the ball for it to count as a catch".

If you put 100 people in a room that watch a lot of football and we would consider to be somewhat knowledgeable about the rules of the game, how many people would say that Miller did not complete that catch? Maybe three? And those people are likely to be Sandy Hook type truthers

Yup. He's 33 as it is and this one sounds worse than the Bridgewater one as it tore an artery.

The only people that could possibly say that's not a catch are Al Riveron and biased Saints fans. The league has to clarify and simplify what is and what isn't a catch this offseason.

At this point, it sounds like just being able to get this guy walking and living a normal life would be the goal.

SO EXCITED FOR THIS! It's like seeing your first round pick in November instead of the following September. I think its also a safer bet than taking a QB at the top of the 1st. Now they can take the best non-QB available, hopefully an edge rusher.

Quite odd timing. Wish we would've kept Brissett. Maybe we get Brian Hoyer back in the trade to be our backup?

T Duane Brown from Texans to Seattle for RB Jeremy Lane and a 2nd and 5th rounder. Figured this was going to happen when I saw Brown ended his holdout and SEA needing OL help so bad:

Yeah this is what I thought when the Cards traded for Kevin Kolb a few years back. So glad the Niners took the bait here.

I wish the Bears had done this instead of trading up one spot to get Trubisky. I hope I regret this post in a few years.

Belli is a smart man and knows Brissett isnt winning any super bowls. With the Garopollo trade he must sense Brady is going to be around for a few more years and must think this is a better offer than he will get in April. If it was anyone else I might question the decision.... Who is your 3rd stringer soon to be 2nd stringer? Must be making a nice impression on the head coach.

Kolb had concussion issues before we knew what concussions were. Jimmy G may be injury prone as well, but we just don't know. In any event, giving up a high second is a reasonable risk. It could also work out like Alex Smith!

How quickly the Broncos have become a dumpster fire. Elways poor draft record at least on offensive is haunting them. KC is going to blow them out in KC tonight.

Seattle is going to the old Dan Snyder book on team building and just trading high picks to plug holes.

So much for the Cousins to SF talk. I've long felt like he's much more likely to be in a place like Jacksonville or Denver next year than a complete rebuild like SF.
