Tomorrow is the day. . .
I find out if I still have a job. We know people will be layed off, but we have no idea who will be sent packing. I find out tomorrow morning in a meeting to see if I still have a job and if I do what role I will play.
I know others have went through this in the last few weeks. I'm not worried about finding another job if I have to. Thing is, however, I like this job. It's one of the better jobs I've ever had and I'd be dissapointed if I lose it. Think good thoughts please. |

Away from the office so I can type a little more.
First off, what do I do? I work as a regional manager for a disaster restoration company. I support about 32 franchises in OR and WA. It involves everything from software training, budgeting, business planning, marketing plans and simple relationship building with the franchises. Actually, most of what happened today was good from my end. I'll be able to work at home when I want to. (starting in February) I'll have a title change. (business development manager) I'll have some of the things I do now taken away from me and will be able to concentrate more on the growth of the franchises I support. Sadly, there were others in our office who weren't so lucky today. Thankfully the company is taking pretty good care of them, but it's still sad to see some friends leave. Thanks for all the well wishes guys. I hope I don't have to go through this again for a few years. |
