Palmer the 2 is ready and willing...

Alien Abductions pick up and they are all in high panic areas, a failure here could see the X-com project shut down.

Out of the 3 sites we select Chicago because the U.S. is the largest money producer for us right now.

We send:

Sq. Sterling Silvers II
Rk. Benton Gale II
Rk. Shane Sexton
Rk. Coffee Warlord III
Rk. Deacon Palmer II

We land at a truck stop and there are several flat beds with loads that will provide great cover and a height to shoot from. I order Gale to one on the left and send Warlord to the right. Warlord comes into immediate contact with 3 Floaters and what looks like 3 large mutant.....tanks? They all scramble.

Warlord drops one of the floaters, Sexton and Palmer both move throwing grenades at one of the big boys. He takes both blasts head on and doesn't drop, I am not feeling good about this mission at all.

A heavy shoots at Warlord injuring him while another runs right up to Gale and Palmer and drops a grenade right on them doing some serious damage. Both of them curl up in the fetal position in panic and start sucking on their thumbs. Warlord takes a blast right in the chest from the other heavy and is killed.

Silvers moves and fires and misses and Sexton misses as well and you could sense the immediate doom for everyone, the command center held their breath as Gale and Palmer were both executed on the spot. This causes Silvers to panic and flee, a floater drops him and he is in critical condition bleeding out.

2 floaters move to flank Sexton. Sexton takes one out and the other misses him. He moves to get into better cover and hits the floater but not killing it. The problem is, he moved right into a flanking maneuver by another heavy and takes a blast in the back and his chest explodes out.

That's it....this squad is done....

We have Canada, US and Brazil in full on panic as well as France and Germany and a council meeting in 3 days...things aren't looking good.

GAME OVER

We hit the council meeting and we lose Canada, US, Brazil and Nigeria...That's it, the Doom Meter is off the charts...the council informs us they are pulling the plug on the project as it is no longer a viable solution.

I am going to be running another game and Dynasty for this...just post if your interested in being involved in that Dynasty here with Character name and if you care if they are male or female. This game is great and challenging and there are so many different routes to go to see how long we can hold out.

I didn't, it's how it went through with me. I did a ton of research,engineering and such...but I didn't skip through any missions. I know I had more than 3 failures too...But I do know I fell asleep one night thinking I paused it and it could have been the cause of things..I don't know...

I went back over all my notes and everything and it's how the game panned out for me. I didn't skip any battles I just got my ass whipped and the issue was, with all the alien abductions, they were constant in the same area so if I picked one, it would set the panic mode up for the other two.

It went that way through the entire game. I think it was randomness kicking me in the ass pretty hard on this.

When I launch the new dynasty tonight, I will thoroughly detail everything.

Macro: Ok, just wondering because I seem to average that many missions by about 70 days in, so it just seemed real low.
