Usually we lose one person per year now, so if you would like to join the best d*mn fantasy league please post and I will add your name to the waiting list. The draft is seriously a lot of fun. Read the rules below.

What will 2020 bring!??!?!

Should be an exciting season. Will the ball be juiced again? Will pitchers be allowed to pitch more than 5 innings? What round will Chris Sale be drafted in?

Opening Day is March 26. Why so early baseball!?!? They make it earlier and earlier every year.

The draft will take place in this thread once the league has been set up. It is a snake draft.

The first pick each morning must be made by 10 am eastern time. Then the four hour clock will start for the next pick. Also, lets make the cutoff 10 pm eastern at night so if the final pick is made at 8 pm, the next person has until 10 am eastern time to make his pick. If most people in this league live in the western time zone or central time zone we could adjust this

On weekends the first pick must be made by 10 am eastern, we'll *go with a standard 4 hours with a 10 pm eastern time cut off.

If there are problems in that you know your pick is coming up but you won't be online, submit a list either to myself or to a proxy drafter for you. Otherwise, you will get the next player on Yahoo's list. Maybe pick someone who is on the opposite end of the draft from you so that you likely won't be grabbing from the same pool of players anyways.

Opening Day is March 26. If the draft is not complete by March 24 at noon, we will have a quick live draft in the message board. One hour limit frenzy picks!!!

If you miss more than 2 picks in the draft (i.e. time limit expired so a Yahoo rankings pick), particularly in the first 10 rounds, then you can be replaced as manager.

I hate to lay down some of these rules but we're going to be drafting over 250 players so we need to get it done in a timely fashion.

The draft is the best part of any fantasy league and this one is awesome because you arent rushed, you can think about your picks and adjust your strategy and pick accordingly.

I've been in this league for 10 years, I think Samifan might have been in even longer. It's a shame that it has fizzled out.

My recommendation would be to try fantrax. I joined a random 12 hour slow draft league. Most people have made their picks in just a couple of hours. The nice thing about the league is if someone misses the deadline, the computer just autopicks that person. If a person misses two picks in a row then they automatically autopicked from that point forward until they relog in.

If you remember my drafting strategy, yes, I have drafted all pitchers early on including Lucas Giolito.

So far, even though its been random people, the experience has been good. Only 2/10 teams on autopick and the other 8 teams taking just a couple of hours to pick.

They also have a queue function as well. I highly recommend looking on that site to scratch that slow draft itch. Maybe you guys can set it up for this year for yourselves. I can't join this year because I am a one league kind of year guy. My brain isn't big enough to handle more than that. But if we are all still around next year, I'd definitely join whatever league you created or set something up for all of us.
