At least on the 360 the game play is VERY different online compared to the regular game.. have to decide a LOT sooner to swing.. took me and Hipocrite 7-8 innings to figure out the timing (I won 1-0 in 12, but every inning after the 8th we both had runners on)

If it's like the 360:
Left stick aims where you want to throw the ball (note: this is where the pitch will ORIGINALLY head, before any break is figured).

Right stick does the motion for the pitch

Bought the GameStop deal and tried it out and I really can't see myself playing it when I have The Show. I absolutely hate the gestures based pitching, it's like they took the annoying QTEs that I can deal with when they're in the middle of Uncharted and decided to build a game around them.

It also didn't help that they kept the same abysmal UI that's in NBA 2k10 that they made no effort to port to PC.

Still crashing out. Very convenient timing for Gamestop. Wonder if they had some kind of quota they could/were willing to sell up to and then these mysterious errors start happening...

Either way, I'm sure they won't be crying about missing out on my $2.99 but it has ensured I'll never do business with them online again. Complete clusterfuck. If only Steam had the same deal.

Just downloaded from Gamestop. My first game, I was being no-hit by Liriano. In the 8th inning with two outs, the Twins up by two runs, he's taken out of the game.

DT: For the pitching, here's the tip:

You should FINISH the motion right when it hits the circle (let's take the screwball for example, which is left-downleft-down-down-right-right, I believe)

You make the first part of the motion (to the left), hold for a split second, and run the rest of the command in a smooth motion, finishing up at right, hopefully when the meter is at max.

Same with a simpler pitch.. fastball (down-up). Press down.. wait for the meter to fill, and move up, finishing when the meter hits max.

Of course, as you tire, the window for inputting the commands lessens...

I've seen the 2k guys say that the PC patch may end up being similar to the patch for nba 2k10, in that it'll be a combination of multiple console patches.

which frankly, is fucking annoying and pretty ridiculous. but i knew that before i bought the game (did my homework), and i wouldn't have paid more than $2.99 to have the game now and have to wait for the patch, because I'd just feel ripped-off. But since I only paid the $2.99 for it, I still feel like I got a good deal, even though there may be issues with it.

Good to see they finally fixed the editing limit somewhat. Now, you can name more than 150 names. It also doesn't count against the limit if it's a name in the database already.
