Right now 'Arry couldn't get the lob of London Dogcatcher, never mind England manager.

big time win for ManU at Tottenham ahead, up 3-0 with 15 to go.

in the german Bundesliga Dortmund wins their 7th in a row and all 3 behind loose, so now they are 7 points clear of Bayern, 8 of Mönchengladbach and 11 ahead of Schalke

also, hope the punk gets suspended for a considerable amount of games :

Man Utd have definitely been winning ugly the past couple of league games. In the first half I was pretty annoyed with how badly Young was playing, though wasn't the only one. Then he got an assist and two really nice goals.

Getting seven points from Arsenal, Chelsea, and Spurs (all away) in the last month or so is really good. Now we've got a bunch of easier games before the big derby.

Are you kidding? Harry could lose out with Spurs and they'd still hand him that job on a silver platter.

Please. . . He lost on the road at Arsenal and lost against ManU with Parker out. Despite that, they actually outplayed ManU for most of the first half. Like Liverpool yesterday, they didn't capitalize on it and paid the price in the second half.

Harry is next England manager. I don't think there is any doubt about it.

Seriously at a loss for words. Hope they are hard as hell on him and he misses a lot of time. The rest of the season would be a good start.

So it is the "manager's" fault again while the managers in the changing room maintain their innocence? Now, Roman wants to get Pep in.

The clubs apologize again. Those responsible for sacking the people who have just been sacked, have been sacked.

That makes me wonder, I'd almost like to bet there is a coach fired in soccer somewhere in the world every day of the year.

I thought I had said this last night, but apparently not... or it's in some other thread and I didn't realize it...

I think Roman's making a big mistake in sacking AVB. The first point, though trivial is that it cost him £15m in compensation to hire him and AVB had alluded to the compensation to him should he be sacked was rather large as well. But hey, Roman's a billionaire.

Second point: For Roman and the Chelsea support to expect AVB to come in and repeat what he did last term with winning the league and Europa, is just funny. Installing new tactics with a rather dug in and aging squad is going to be pretty damn impossible to do. They need to have an expectation of transition rather than winning the Prem and Champions League. AVB need at least one year of working with the current squad and a summer and second season of turning the squad into what he needs for his tactics to be successful and thrive in the Premier League.

Just because someone is compared to Jose Mourinho, does not mean he will immediately be Jose Mourinho.

It's also funny that a club that struggled for years until Roman bought them, now has such a spoiled and self righteous demand and expectation of success. Though I'm sure there's plenty of bandwagoners helping fuel that.

I despise Chelsea, but they've made a massive mistake. Whoever hires AVB next and gives him the time to get things running his way is going to have an absolutely fantastic manager.

Not sure if I've ever heard of this happening before. A ref gave an unconscious player on a stretcher a red card.

Unbelievable half. Wondering if they'll go up 5-0 and concede a goal in stoppage to lose on away goals.

Way more than $15m.

Now the rumor in Milan is that Inter boss Moratti is going to replace Ranieri with AVB. The last Portuguese coach they had worked out pretty well for them.

Yeaah, the £15m figure is the compensation they had to pay to Porto to pry him away from there. AVB back in October had said that he wouldn't be canned because the severance package was significantly more.

The ref in this game is just comically bad. Bad refs look at this guy and stare at him in shock.

Arsenal need a miracle goal to send it to extra. Even if they don't get it, I love the fight they put up.

Agreed. It was like the ref was trialling some new rules or something - just completely baffling decisions at times and very inconsistent

An insight into the running of Queens Park Rangers football club in recent years, as cameras were given unprecedented access to the boardroom and the first team. In 2007, the club was facing relegation from the Championship as well as financial ruin, before being bought by F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone and Italian businessman Flavio Briatore. Soon after, they were joined on the board by Indian steel magnate Lakshmi Mittal, and together the new owners promised a return to glory for the club and its supporters.

goddamn this was awesome. his contempt for the fans is amazing. 'you paid ten pounds for a ticket. i put 35 million in the club. i want the names of the people that are booing me or i'll sell the club!'

I'm really hoping to see Liverpool finish outside the top 10. At this point, it's an entirely realistic wish.

They'd better hope not. . . Arsne will have the entire clubs heads on a platter if it came out that it were true.

Wouldn't shock me a bit if RVP lands at either Man City, Barca or Real. I know Arsenal are going to try to keep him and I know he's been a savior this year. That said, the guy has a history of being made out of glass. How likely is it that he stays this healthy and plays at this level again?

One of those clubs opens the coffers and gives Arsenal an offer they can't refuse, he'll be gone. I can't see them sending him off in a cut rate deal though. They'd be better off keeping him for next year and riding out the contract then getting peanuts on the dollar (or pound) and let him play for an arch rival next year. Be better to play the living hell out of him next year and use him up than to allow that to happen.

It's been such a bizzare season as an Arsenal fan. Fabregas and Nasri go. (was not sad to see Nasri go, the timing just sucked) Wilshire gets hurt. Ramsey never really gets to form. The LB and RB positions are destroyed for much of the year. (Sagna is a terrific player, losing him was gut wrenching) This disaster at OT.The thrill of the win at Chelsea. Milan and Sunderland end any chances at trophies, followed by 2 down to Tottenham minutes into the game and the stunning 5 goal explosion afterwards.

Beat Newcastle tomorrow and you essentially have a 3 team race for the 2 available CL places. Lose to Newcastle at home and the roller coaster of a season continues.

Which makes me think they'll lose to Newcastle at home. The roller coaster must roll on, right?

Yesterdays' NBC broadcast of NY and Dallas was solid. Nice to see MLS get on a new channel that most people tend to get in HD (sorry Fox). The camera was a bit low, but the picture was especially vibrant and sharp. Arlo White wouldn't shut up, but it seems as though he's an old radio guy, so that may explain why he kept chattering on.

City is just ridiculous to watch - some rich man's plaything with funny money. At least the likes of Tottenham have the support and base to earn their spending power.

Van Persie has made perfectly clear that he's got a priority order going: 1. finish season, 2. sit around the table with Arsène Wenger, 3. t/b/d based on 2.
