I saw it last night. It was a fluke that I was even out (my connection to work wasn't up so, had to drive in to work).

I was a few miles north of Jackson, WI driving and caught a streak out of the corner of my eye, next thing I knew there was a bright flash and it died out. Did not realize at the time that that many people would have seen it.

All right, Mustang, there was no fireball. The flash of light you saw in the sky was not a fireball. Swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and reflected the light from Venus.
