Hero disappears, hero re-discovers his sense of purpose, hero returns and saves the day?

It's a little older that those four films.

Villain gets captured but it was all part of his plan, a plan that relies on him being captured and then able to escape and completely discounts the possibility he can't escape.

You can see why they went with Spader. That voice absolutely drips malevolence.

I was a bit, too. It was a letdown to me, but I also can't deny the masterful buildup from the other movies that may have led to heightened expectations

Bah, "Hulk - smash" was worth the time I spent regardless of the rest of the movie. Enjoyed far more of it, but that alone made the movie worth it.

It isn't that he gets captured. Ant Man makes Ultron, hence the Pinocchio reference.

Yeah, this is great news. Putting Spidey in Feige's hands makes me hopeful for the first time in a long time.

I'm hoping for two things - 1) I don't need to see anyone bitten by a radioactive spider ever again, and 2) an African American/Miles Morales Spiderman rather than goofy Peter Parker. I think Parker has been done to death.
